LSU had gone 10-2 with losses only in September and had Bama go to the playoffs at 11-1. Penn State, I feel for you!!!

Assuming Bama wins the conference title in your scenario, this is a useless argument.

I'd be upset but I would understand the reasoning.

In this scenario it would have been impossible for Alabama to make the championship game you dope. LSU at 10-2 goes to the SECCG

The blame would go to Florida for making us cancel the south alabama game.

It's a completely hypothetical scenario = so, my assumption is that LSU would have played all 12 of it's regular season games in this scenario.

The results being -- Loss to UW and loss to Auburn... win over Alabama, and that's their only loss.

LSU goes to SECCG and wins --- finishing the season at 11-2 and Alabama finishes the season at 11-1, not having played in the SECCG and still goes to the CFP while LSU would not..... that's the scenario the OP was entertaining. Just like PSU in the Big 10.

Different scenario.. Penn St lost to Michigan by 40. Imagine if we had lost to Auburn by 40, and Auburn ends up 10-2 and in the top 5 and Bama is 11-1. How could you justify putting us in over a team that beat us by 40? The committee got it right here.

This place would be unreadable if we were Penn St. In the Op's scenario.
