That sure was fun to watch. I had begun to give up hope, but he really looked the part in his 2 innings last night. I really hope that he can stay healthy. He's gonna be special.

He should start against the 4 seed in the regional.

He'll be draft eligible next year, right?

ETA: sorry for the confusion

Yeah I really liked what I saw. I hope we can use him for some spot relief in big situations as we progress through the postseason.

It'll be his third year here, so yes.

He turned 20 in April. So I guess that means he'll be 21 by next year's draft. Is that still the cut-off?

My problem with that is if he struggles at all. Then you burn part of your pen.

The Chad Jones role popped into my head in the 2nd inning last night

Pitched well for 2 innings. Looking forward to him being in the weekend rotation next year.

Next year will be his third year out of high school. Why would his age play a factor?

And yes to the OP, he looked really good last night. Would love to see him in a more extended role going forward, but I'm sure CPM won't push him too hard.

that's a bummer. hope he stays. he probably could really improve his draft stock by staying another year.

I didn't catch the beginning of the game. Did he throw many off speed pitches?

I hope he does well enough next year to warrant leaving.

If you turn 21 within 60 days of the draft you can be a draft eligible sophomore (or freshman like the kid at South Carolina). Otherwise it's 3 years removed from high school.

Deichmann and Bain are draft eligible sophs this year.

Reid will be next year. Latz will be in the same boat as Stallings this year, draft eligible as a sophomore due to redshirt.
