Nutt? 1 SEC game in 2 years, you realize that's over the entire SEC, including Kentucky, Vandy and Miss St. They even lost to that powerhouse La. Tech this year. He's obviously good at rating talent. I heard they even lost their spring game last year giving them another SEC loss.

But he beat LSU, er, I mean, CLM more than once, which makes him totally and uniquely qualified to judge our QB. His less-than-stellar record as an SEC coach doesn't mean shite, because he's 3-3 against CLM.

Conversely, CLM's records against numerous other coaches doesn't mean shite either. He's held to a different standard. Many have pointed out that CLM and Saban are 3-3, but that fact is dismissed by CLM's critics. Many of those same critics are in this thread defending Nutt and shouting '3-3 against CLM!'.

It's called moving the goal posts, and it's kind of funny. It happens all the fricking time when it comes to criticizing CLM. A few years ago, it was all about how we had a crappy SEC record and were constantly finishing in the middle of the SECW. Then it was we would never make it back to the SECCG. This season, it was how CLM was, at best, a two-loss-a-season coach.

Keep moving them goal posts, boys! I can't wait to see where they go next.

I really wish Lee had been given at least one series just to dispel this feeling that he could have made a difference.

I hope J Lee has a career in the NFL.

I really wish Lee or Mett would have been given at least one series to give us a chance to WIN THE GAME.

Not doing so was throwing in the towel.

I am SO thankful we had a mobile QB to deal with Alabama's tough defense. His dual threat abilities really had our offense purring last Monday.

Funny how everyone is getting so bent out of shape here.

Nutt has coached some good games while at Arkansas but the talent just isn't there at Ole Miss.

He has a high opinion of Lee as a QB. I'd imagine he probably knows more about football than all of the people chiming in here trying to discredit him. And what do you expect him to say? Lee sucks?

Guys, you're missing the point. The point of this thread was not that Nutt is a coaching god or even good, even if he did do well against us.

The POINT was that he (along with 1,000's of others) noted that Lee has a quick release, and is a sound QB. If he weren't we wouldn't have even had a chance at Bama and the NCG. Thank God for Jarrett's contributions, and

There's more than one way to skin a cat. Scramble with your feet (Les Miles explanation for sticking with JJ), or a quick release.............

a la Drew Brees who is not a scrambling QB like Vick but he gets it done with quick reads and quick release. Sure That quick release sometimes got Lee into trouble, but he rarely missed wide open receivers by holding the ball.

JJ's willingness to take sacks vs. throw int.'s kept him the starter.

Not that I disagree with Nutt but the opinion of a coach who won 1 SEC game the last 2 seasons combined doesn't really mean much.

LOL Lets see whu plays on Sunday , can yopu seJJ playing after his show in the BCS Title game . The pro scouts saw what presure can do for JJ The GREAT

Wow this Again...... We know Lee has good mechanics and a Fast release.... That has never been the issue... Again Lets do this again yes we all would have Liked Lee to play on 1/9 to see if he could do anything... But we didn't so can you guys get over it... I say again if lee would have lit up bama instead of throwing 2 picks he would have continued to start... I know some of you don't want to believe that...But he panicked in the biggest game were he looked like the Lee of old and not the one that play in the previous 8 games... I still think he should have played more but he didn't. We all need to move on.. and just do what we should do as LSU fans route for all guys who are going to try the NFL.... And get ready for 2012...

Its time people to move on....

What is his record vs Saban and Miles, the two best coaches football in the NCAA?
Surely you would concede that he was at a disadvantage when recruiting against LSU and Alabama.

JL was a legit late round draft pick until the BAMA game. Had he got to play the whole season, he would easily be considered a late round guy.

The need for the JJ/Miles apologists to disparage anyone or anything that is complementary to Lee is disgusting.

It's funny that these same clowns always call themselves "true fans".

Just wait for OBUDan to produce a screenshot breakdown of JLs performance in this game......

It truly has gotten pathetic.

Not news but proof that he could have dealt with the Bama bull rush.

Because this has helped him EVERY TIME he's played against bama. Oh yeah.

You must have missed his appearance in 2010. Nah, just too stupid to remember.
