"I love his fundamentals, I love his leadership, his intangibles, the management of the game - and he gets the ball out very quick," Nutt said.

Not that I disagree with Nutt but the opinion of a coach who won 1 SEC game the last 2 seasons combined doesn't really mean much.

I would not trust that assessment from that QB killer if I were you.

Always wanted him to have a chance to play. Someone else didn't.

Nutt had LSU's number for some time and was Nick Saban's recommendation for his replacement.

The point of his comments that struck me was his comment that Lee has a "QUICK RELEASE". Not news but proof that he could have dealt with the Bama bull rush.

Two ways to deal with a strong pass rush from an agressive defense.

#1 Scramble with the ball like JJ did with 15 yards in 14 carries, or

#2 Play from the shotgun and release the ball quickly, instead of hold on to it until someone kills you.

I also thing that a halfback pass would have worked like a charm, but this is all spilled milk now.

Because this has helped him EVERY TIME he's played against bama. Oh yeah...

If he lights it up tonight it will be bitter sweet fo us LSU fans to watch. We are cheering for him, and will be wondering what if at the same time.

Nutt? 1 SEC game in 2 years, you realize that's over the entire SEC, including Kentucky, Vandy and Miss St. They even lost to that powerhouse La. Tech this year. He's obviously good at rating talent. I heard they even lost their spring game last year giving them another SEC loss.
