There's a best western a couple blocks away. Very reasonable rates.

Try airbnb. Ive found it to be cheaper than hotels and you get entire an entire house

Stayed at Sam Houston. Not a bad hotel, right by a homeless shelter though. Depends if you're sketched out by those kind of things.

Homewood suites, Hampton inn are in the same building and are a block away we sit is right across the street. We're staying at homewood.

Same here, did the potluck Priceline Express Deal for 4 Stars near Minute Maid and got Club Quarters. Rooms look tiny, but just need a place to shower and sleep.

I used to live there. If you go to the 11th floor you can check out the room where Kennedy stayed the night before he was assasinated.
It's a great location...go two blocks north on Main and/or Travis and bar hop the 15+ bars in that 3 block radius. Prohibition, Captain Foxhearts, Public Services, Hearsay, Okra, Nightingale, Flying Saucer, Moving Sidewalk, Pastry War, Conservatory, La Carafe, etc. They're all different styles of bars, so anyone can usually find something that fits them. If you want to see some weird shite, go to notsuoH
Once you're sufficiently hammered, stop at Franks for some greasy pizza.

Booked an Airbnb this morning. 1bedroom apartment 5 blocks from the stadium for 125 a night. Won't have to get in my car all weekend.
