Figured that asking this less than a week after the Cotton Bowl would be best, what with your stay fresh in your memories and all: Based on your experience last week, what are some of the better places to stay (near Jerry's World? In Dallas?) for next year's opener?

TIA

Stay close to the stadium if possible. Just wasn't worth the hassle of transportation.

I tayed at the Gaylord for the CB. Nice hotel. Huge. But decent bars. Steak restaurant was really good although the wine was way marked up.

That is a damn nice place.

What hotels might be within walking distance of the stadium.

I only saw one. And it looked like the place you would go with a $3 hooker.

There's a Days Inn (I think) right across the street from the stadium.

See my note w/ Cotton Bowl Hotel in subject line for details. We stayed at the Admiral, and it was decent and not over-priced.

Days Inn across the street. About 10 others within
about 1/2 to 3/4 mile of stadium.
