I love their contrasting styles that throw off the hitters. Walker gets you guessing whether all of the corner pitches are balls or strikes. Hess then comes in and blows it by you.

If I see Hess throw in every game in route to a CWS, I'll be very happy. Good things happen when he throws.

Hess is the most intense fricking pitcher I've seen since Nolan Ryan. He makes ME uncomfortable.

Every time Hess takes the mound, I see greatness.

Hess is your Friday night starter next year.

Me too, I get semi-aroused when he's out there and has that look that says "I'm about to throw this ball about 110 past your face." No homo though.

I expect to see Gilbert in relief tonight.

Hopefully there's no need though and we just see Hess/Newman come in late to close.

If Hess gets in the game tonight....it most likely means a W for the Tigers....I'm in.

I hope Walker's arm soreness doesn't flare up again

He pitches angry, a la Drysdale and Gibson. I like that.

Walker reminds me of Kyle Hendricks. Not overpowering stuff, but he can locate and it's lethal. And then Hess is an animal. We are in good hands for a few years to come, but I am especially ready for tonight!

I hope Walker is on point tonight, of course, he's so fun to watch. Pitch, glove, signal, pitch. Great pace and precision pitching. Then Hess will just blow you away. Both could win a stoicism contest.
