I'm not here to debate last night. I'm here to point out good football.

In the Saints/ Cards , the types of routes/ techniques used for play calling and the passing game, are what we need:

- short routes: slants, curls, swings out the backfield
- use of screen game (middle, WR)
- player motion to get guys in space and create room before snap
- checkdowns to RB and TE, after blocking then release

This has nothing to do with our use of LF - we do ride one of the best players in college football. But to maintain balance and relieve the 10 men in the box, and frankly, just change it up a little - not be so predictable.

Here's to hoping. That is really what I think many of us want. I'm helping articulate the point.

Not that your message is not a good one, but as of now LSU has outscored both the Saints and Cardinals combined.

LSU 14 points.

Saints + Cardinals = 10 points.

Can't get much more logical than that.

So what you're saying is, professional football teams that have veteran pro bowl qbs run complicated offenses?

Mind blown.

Wow dude, you need to work on comprehension - I never said complicated.

Those routes, and movement is just running a play. That is not complicated. Its good football. Simple play calling and design.

I'm amazed by this too. The op has uncovered a truly astounding anomaly.

Except for the seasons when Brees throws 30 int's...and by the way, LSU will have a better season. The Saints D is hot garbage.

Not advocating that much passing. If you want/ need more passing, that is how you do it to protect the offense and the QB.

I understand where your coming from bro. But your not going to get anywhere on here argueing that point, no matter how true and how solid. I've been saying this and similar things for a long time only to meet sarcasm and resistance and ridicule. We run an outdated offense that is out of sync with the way modern football is played. We don't do anything to try to create space for our playmakers to make plays.
