Was hoping he would be ready. Guys are so confident that they are gonna recover like AP or something.

Mortensen commented a while ago that it could be mid-season. Really no way to know for sure.

Arians wants him to wait until October so he'll probably end up on the real PUP list and miss the first 6 games

That is only so they can re-enlist him to the PUP if necessary during the season. Does not mean he will not play.

Ok so what. I hope he does ok, but I am not a fan of a guy that had a free education and blew it when his teammates were counting on him most.He took care of himself instead of what brought him to LSU. How much of a difference would he have made in 2012? Hard to say. The last time I saw him playing in a college game he was getting exposed all over the place by a great Bama gameplan. Just sayin.

The fact that you call that getting exposed screams to how great he was.

What? The whole LSU D was confused by what Bama was doing. They passed the ball all over the place. A great game plan that LSU wasn't expecting. I saw at least 4 passes that Badger had No chance at. I am a fan of what kids do at LSU. Not what they do after.

The guy has addressed all of this publicly.

Opinion is that so far he is fighting his demons and winning the battle. With that, he brings great insight into what many young athletes deal with. Instead of crying about it, he acknowledges it and is trying to bestow his experience and wisdom upon others - including current LSU players.

If you hate a guy because he might be turning his life around and helping others see the mistakes he made, then shame on you.

IF he keeps it up, he will be a great ambassador for LSU and young athletes.

He gave up 3 passes for 50 yards and no touchdowns.

The defense didn't give a touchdown until late despite being the field the whole game and 2 offensive turnovers

What was he exposed as? He had a great rookie year

You mean exposed by getting beat on a play while isolated with a 6'4" receiver with no safety help. Ok, he did break the rules and smoke weed. He made a mistake and paid dearly for it some would say more dearly than the offense. He has been nothing but a good citizen since being in the league and speaks of his love for LSU. How about being happy for someone turning it around. If you're mad at him still, well be mad at Billy Cannon as well who the last time he was in a Tiger uniform was being exposed by Ole Miss in a 21-0 loss and made more egregious errors at a more mature age. I am happy for both men and their stories, mainly for the fact that both redeemed themselves and are great ambassadors for the University.
