It's common knowledge that in 09 JJ had a higher qb rating then Flynn did in 07.
Now you're gonna say,"it's because JJ took sacks."
JJ had 8 more sacks than Flynn did in 07
Now you're gonna say," well JJ was throwing 5 yard passes.'
JJ had a higher yards per attempt.
Also JJ had zero running game in 09. We ran for less than 80 yards,as a team, 4 times and only ran for 170 yards , once.
Just saying JJ didn't always suck.

you are comparing two completely different styles of offense. LSU was smash mouth pound your arse running....with the threat of the downfield pass when JL was at QB. All they need is an occasional deep pass to keep the defense honest, by someone with the ability to do that. I know one thing, it might not have helped on Jan 9th, but it damn sure wouldn't have been any worse....and i guarantee you JL doesn't throw teammates under the bus.
All that being said, we got someone now that will offer us that ability to go downfield......cannot wait for the season to start.

you know...i've read many of your comments on here, but now you are just talking crazy shite, insinuating JJ was better than flynn. Wow. One was a clutch winner who had extreme awareness of critical situations in a game....the other never had any awareness of what was going on...whether it be 1st down or 4th down...wow.....I know who to avoid on here now. JJ was the worst qb that I can remember in the history of LSU, and I've been watching LSU football for 3 decades.

Sorry I'm using facts and you're using your feelings. Fact. JJ had a higher qb rating( the qb rating is what we use to rate qb over a period of time)in 09 than Flynn in 07. Now I would definitely pick Flynn over JJ, but JJ is far from the worst qb in 30 years. FACTS PROVE HE ISN'T.

Yes Flynn was really clutch throwing that int to end the Ark game or when he was throwing 4 int against Bama. Flynn was avg at best at LSU. How he has risen to the great qb status is beyond me. He had several horrible games in 07.
