a few thought come to mind: immensely talented, but soft and overrated.

We seem to forget that Simmons is only 19. If Blakeney and Hornsby hit 30% of their 3's, and Quarterman didn't take every other game off, we would LOVE Ben's game and stats.

I don't think anyone is upset with the stats. It's the sit back, not take over, lack of killer instinct mentality we see in games. My comment earlier was that a 3 in the NBA needs to be able to shoot which he does not display at this level.

I'v been trying to get this exact point across all season.

Man the flock up and win us a ball game!!

10 loses with this team is embarrassing and the season isn't even over.

I don't see him being a player that can elevate a terrible nba franchise. He can't do it in college.

He looks scared to me. Unless he changes I don't how he is going to play with NBA players.

Honestly, you can tell a lot by his interviews. He spends hall of it talking about how he is a leader and how some people are meant to be leaders, etc etc. Its the same as someone saying they are cool....if you have to say it, then you probably aren't.

Anyways, just my opinion but I think he is trying to hard to be something he isn't. Just play ball and quit trying to make yourself out to be something your aren't.

I think he's lost his legs with the monumental amount of BBall the kid has played in last 12 months. He needs rest and lots of it. Saw a Crazy NBA stat the other abou the difference in the amount of dunks in first half vs second half of game and the total lack of dunks on team's second of two back yo backs. Well over50% reduction in both. Shooting will suffer greatly if you lose the lift your acomstoned to. And one other thing, he's a prodigy that will have a great NBA career doing the things he does better than most. Scoring isn't one of them.

Could you imagine if he had the ferociousness of Russell Westbrook?

-------------------------------------------------

Russell Westbrook's UCLA stats:
Position: Guard
Height: 6-3 ? Weight: 187
School: UCLA
Career: 75 Games played, 8.3 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 2.5 APG

I questioned when Russell went out after his sophomore year. The NBA made him tough. That will happen with Simmons - who will play small-"point"-forward in the league. Whatever team he plays on will have or obtain two guys taller, bigger and stronger who will pounding the boards in order to leave Simmons away from the glass to create shots for his team.

yes because everyone who succeeds in the NBA enters at their prime and is already mean as hell. Simmons shouldn't even waste his time. He should switch to badminton or knitting; he won't need to be tough there.

LSU fans love to eat their own?

Ben Simmons is way down the list of any problems on this team.
Biggest problem last night is him not finishing at the rim a few times and then clanking FT's.

He seems passive, but I think he's just a facilitator by nature. Some of that is because he can't shoot very good.

By far (besides coaching) the thing that holds this team back is BAD PG play. TQ outside of a couple games has been TERRIBLE. He continues to think he is a shooter and he's not. He's also been pretty poor defensively. While Gray is almost as bad, I'd play him before TQ right now.

Personally, I'd keep them both on the bench and let BS be the PG. Can't hurt with the way those 2 are playing of late.

Sadly, for this team to be successful I really believe TQ has to play well. Not great, but good enough.

Seems to me he played a professional, unselfish style of ball in high school that emphasized fun, team play, and don't get hurt/or hurt anyone else.

He will learn quickly in the states (if he hasn't already) that the focus shifts to winning, money, tenacity, and satiating a rabid fan base that are inherent losers at life, so they live their lives vicariously through athletically gifted 'winners'.

Just kidding. You guys aren't losers

That would be 3 people on the floor that cant score. He better land on a team that has two phenomenal shooters/scorers because he is completely incapable of doing either.
