So I get off work at 7:30 (in Atlanta); it was dark so I knew I would be able to get WWL on 870 AM. I was fired up at being able to listen to Saints and LSU commentary on my way home. The first caller asked what Hokies' opinion of how LSU matches up with Alabama, could LSU beat them. Hokie said LSU has zero chance in this game and the final score will be in the neighborhood of 31-10. I felt like someone whose dog got run over

Don't worry. Hokie has NEVER been the sharpest knife in the drawer. If you hang your hat on Hokie's opinions, life is pathetic.

I hope your right. I was down right depressed after listening to him. He said Alabama was hands down the best team in the nation and that the game would not even be close!

Hokie is much smarter than you think. He's kind of dumb like a fox

He's been saying this whole year that Bama is #1. But he will call himself out if he is wrong. Unlike some talking heads who just choose not to talk about it.

He does believe 'Bama is the best in the country but he'll be as happy as any Tiger fan to be proven wrong. Hope that happens.

Pretty sure he picked Georgia and the Jets to win, too, FWIW...and LOL at Bama hanging 31 on this defense.

Hokies off the cuff comments during the saints games are priceless though. One of my favorites " I bet that boy goes squirrel hunting with a hammer"

Hokie is a drunk fox looking for his next beer. He is a complete moron. The game will be played next week and we will see what happens.

hes a little too realist some times and in this case a little wrapped up in the Bama hype

no way bama hangs 31 on LSU, they might win but it wont be a blow out like that

you got that right. could you imagine Hokie and Hawthorne in the same booth? they could swap off and do a Tiger game and then a Saints game. it would be radio history!

He may find his wisdom in the bottom of a beer can but he is probably correct in his assumption that Bama is going to win the game. Our defense has improved and I think they will keep us as close as we were in the UF game but IMHO our offense has not shown me they can put up the big numbers against a QUALITY opponent.

Not to be a negatiger, but what makes you think our offense is any better? Because we hung 31 on Auburn?

We won't know how effective our offensive changes were until we play Bama actually.

It's a good sign. Dude was absolutely fellating Eli and the Giants before that game. He was making out Eli to be one of the top 5 QB's in the game and just gushing.

Having once had Eli on my Fantasy Team all I could do was laugh.

Hokie's one of my all time favorite Tigers but prognosticating is not his strength. Proabably why he's broadcasting and no longer a scout for the Saints.
