It was bad, but we toughed it out with open windows and attic fan. Made us tougher than you may wonder!

I am 58 and this is a very special time. But anyone who loves LSU football, would have to be lying if they enjoyed watching our last game and the screwing that happened to some very good players that loves LSU as much or more than us. I for starting a new era of excellence without the wrongness that ended the second half of last year.

Just kidding. I think the main idea
behind these threads is just to let people know how wrong things can go so quickly, and how long a program can be down for it as a result. Some never recover to their past greatness, so try to appreciate and enjoy it now.

before air conditioning, we went to swimmin' holes for relief. we went into the forest to lay in cool streams. and, you gotta include:

RADIO!!!

my daddy graduated in time for ww2. i grew up listenin' to lsu football since at least '55 with the attic fan sucking in the air.
i went to my first game in '65 (as a freshman, living in the pentegon / w/o air conditioning.)

i loved coach mac. i hated the nega-tigahs thruout the 60's. they hated dietzel for leavin' and then haten mac for not beatin' al/bear (who nobody could beat!)

for the last 60+ years of lsu football, there have always been nega-tigahs like deuce.
of course, back then we could drown 'em.

i don't know if i'm gonna die anytime soon, but, i hope it's the day after les miles retires.

then you youngsta's can just dry up and committ suicide.
i'm livin' as if i have died and gone to p/g heaven.

LSU didn't win the National Championship until 2003 season! Awarding a national champion in college football is a relatively new development.

Been watching the Tigers for right at 40 yrs and have seen some great teams and great games and for sure some bad one's...LOL!! I for one will bitch and raise hell like the others when they play bad or lose a game, but i'm sure enjoying these past few years and hope everyone is as well, just remember nothing last forever so take it all in while you can and enjoy the ride!!
