Gotcha. Makes a little better sense to me now. Next time you might want to post someone's quote then respond. I took it as your opinion on that.

Hilliard's body is going to have to change a lot and he is going to have to get quicker--not faster---quicker. Ware is battering ran, but he has very quick feet and has moves for a guy 20 lbs smaller.

Hilliard has lots of baby fat and he is lumbering and deliberate. hopefully a couple of years in the strength/conditioning program will get him right.

I realized he is a Les Miles style of back

I wonder if that's why he recruited him ?

I made that point after the first time I saw Hilliard at Fullback.

Les made it when they first started giving him reps there in preseason. Copeland was nicked up, needed to develop some depth. and somebody who could catch/ run from that position. even if the latter only yields 0.5 yds.

Hilliard's our very own Shawn Bryson.

I think Hilliard will be a disappointment. I really wish him the best but I think he will be one of the player lost in the wash.

please elaborate, how can you say that? what other players have we lost in this "wash"

Playing fullback DOES help in other aspects of running back play...blocking and catching the ball outof the backfield.

I don't see him as ever being a starting RB at LSU unless Moffit is able to really make some changes in him. We have better and will get better backs than HIllard. In time he could be a real threat at fullback unlike any we have ever had at the position. A fullback who is a threat to run and catch out of the backfield and is still a devasting blocker possibly.

I agree with this. Bring him in with Ware and Shepard at times, swing Ware and or Shepard out and line him up in the TB spot, now we talkin!

Shepard is gonna go off with Hilliard blocking for him next week!!!!
