I was at the Miami of Ohio game. I held season tickets 80-88. I think Miami's QB was Ben ? now with the Steelers. A great pro. Someone else remember????

Big Ben played at Miami from 2001-2003.

and some say LSU was nobody before saban. we had some damn good teams and damn good coaching. bo rein getting killed and arnsbarger leaving left us in a lurch that took time to overcome but that happens to EVERY school, including bama.

Thanks for the correction. Ben came later, wrong year. Who ever it was, he was good and we got behind about 3 touchdowns and never recovered.

That was one of my favorite teams. The loss to Miami-Ohio tainted the season though.

Loud throughout the game, almost every game.

That video reminded me how good Wendell Davis really was. He made some amazing catches at LSU.

Ray Tatum, from Winnsboro. Also signed with LSU, but never contributed. Not sure if he even made it to campus.

that was a great team, unfortunately, it was also the eve of the dark days, trivia, Garland Jean-Baptiste is, or at least used to be a LA state trooper, he stopped me one night, after quite a few beers, but being an LSU alum, and former athlete, I got cut some slack, many moons ago

I knew this guy when we were going to La. Tech. He was a short pudgie guy. You wouldnt think he could even run much less be one of the fastest in the state.

Here's my csb about that game.

I was a student at UT-Austin and sitting in the student section while the Horns played some team I don't remember. I had my AM radio with me and was giving updates on the A&M game to lots of Texas students more interested in hearing about A&M getting whipped than in the game right in front of them.

:csb: I warned you.
