If he isn't eligible in the fall Buga nation will revolt against LSU.

Exactly my thought, but not Brandon. The folks at the gate were congratulating him on having his brother join him next season at the same time they were apologizing for not letting him in.

Well this breaks it down.

Students have to maintain a certain GPA to be eligible fr free tickets. And yes this applies to athletes as well...

Perhaps a little chaos and humble pie is in order.

If only they made non-student tickets.

FWIW the ticket takers don't know it's grades, neither does the ticket office. All it comes up as is 'ineligible' so your son is lying.

It could be half a dozen reasons for not beig active.

Deservedly-so if this is accurate. Anyone know the minimum GPA needed to attend games? (or get in free as someone said)

I'm sure that player will "get it together" by the end of the semester.

I don't typically start threads and didn't start this one to stir shite, but was curious if the GPA requirements are different. I can certainly delete the original post if recommended.

Wrong. You need a 2.0

My son just met a prominent LSU athlete at the student entrance to the game at the PMAC. He was disappointed because this athlete was turned away due of his GPA. It made me wonder if this individual would be in danger of playing or if students truly have to have a higher GPA to watch than to participate on the field. Any idea?

The scanners don't give info regarding GPA or hours. They just read accepted/declined. Athletes/band etc have blocks put on their accounts to keep them from buying football tickets since they get in free. It's possible his hasn't been removed for the spring semester yet.

frick you a-hole! He had a conversation with the young man in the line. My son didn't create the story.

He could have been joking to get a reaction out of my son and or the gate attendants since they clearly knew who he was, but keep the name calling to yourself.
