Is 60% completion, 2000 pass yds and 20 TD's good enough junior year numbers to be recruited at LSU? 6'3" 200 lbs./ 4.7 40

What level of competition is the kid going up against? Arm strength?

Stats don't matter that much, ability does. There are many good QB's in great high school programs, but that doesn't mean that they have college talent.

FYI Andrew Hatch was listed at 6'3, 214 and probably ran around a 4.6/4.7 and he's back in the Ivy League.

Will Briscoe at Central High School, Baton Rouge, was the number one rated QB in the state last year in 5A ball and has at least if not better numbers than those this year and to my knowledge LSU nor any other SEC team has shown him any interest. He has had offers from McNeese and from some other smaller schools. My kids go to Central and I have seen him play at least twenty games and he is the real deal. He did tear his ACL last year and had to have surgery but he looks 100% recovered this year. He made Catholic of Baton Rouge look like a 2A level ball team beat them 60-21 if that is any judge of the caliber of competetion he has been smoking. Last week Catholic beat the fourth rated team in 4A ball in the state of Florida in Florida.

He is AAAA in Georgia. Good arm strength, not great. However, he has 5 or 6 TD passes over 50 yds. At least 2, 50 yarders were dropped in the endzone.

I agree, stats don't mean everything. He has had a lot of drops. But he is very accurate. Not much around him though. His numbers do seem to be in the range of some of these other D-1 QB's
