Guess Henry felt good after a bullpen. Good to hear.

2/3's of the way there... now we just need Hess to be the bigger man and move himself to the pen and slide Ma'khail in

I don't think Hess is the long term answer on Friday, but at this point who has proven themselves over Hess?

If our depth develops and Marceaux shows he can string it together for more than three innings against a big time opponent, or Hill comes back healthy then sure. But right now? We have a dearth of proven starting pitching.

Yes. Absolutely. Because Hilliard has demonstrated that he is fully healthy and ready to throw 7 innings in an SEC game.

I realize, but he has been back working. He should be getting close to put together a quality start. All I know is his curveball is about the only thing that can save this pitching staff from what I've seen so far this year.

Marceaux needs to find a putout pitch yesterday.

Hess didn’t look bad last Friday. Maybe he’s figuring it out.

Hess is not an SEC Friday night guy imo but who else can we put there?

Marceaux has a putout pitch. Probably a couple of them. He just needs to throw more strikes like he did against Northwestern, so that hitters have a reason to swing.

I must be watching a different game

ETA I'm putting much more emphasis on his start against a quality lineup

They need a young bulldog type for Friday then move them to Saturday's as they get older. (See poche)Hess is not the answer..who fits that role on this team?

Ok dude. Let's test that theory.....say on Friday night in the SEC opener!

Yep. I want a guy who "should be close to putting together a quality start" anchoring the rotation on Friday night.

It's like some of you intentionally have no clue about baseball.

Not one single poster has posted anything relatively positive or about being excited that Hess is starting... but yea, I don't know anything about baseball.

Who else not in the weekend rotation has stepped up to take a spot away from him?
