Seems like he needs a mobile QB. Don't see DE fitting in. Would have to resurrect Harris or start a Freshman in Scott.

And the issue is? DE isn't special.

You are stupid. HERMAN doesn't have "an offense". He runs what ever his players are best at.

His offense at OSU was completely changed when their qb changed. That's what is different about him. He's not married to doing it one way.

And he's shown he can get his team ready for the 2 legitimate teams they play.

When all you've had is dog food sandwiches for a few years, a fried egg sandwich looks pretty damn good.

Stop with SMU/Navy shite. If he had the talent on D alone that we have at LSU he wouldn't have lost.

and that's the trait of a great coach. Round peg in a round hole.

Best part of his game plan last night was getting Louisville not to show up mentally.

you think? while i'm ok with that in a way, it does pigeon hole his offense; shut down the QB and game over. he did it to Louisville.

a lot of these spread first teams are not multifaceted. they may spread the D out but they overly depend on one player. I think a well run multiple offense, one that can indeed spread the field but also present a very strong ability to run the football is the best of both worlds. it also allows for changing the pace of the game with long clock consuming drives.

And not taking his foot of the pedal so UL could get back in it.

He kept pounding. The fake punt was outstanding.

I keep seeing Herman lost to SMU/Navy. I don't think its a big deal. If he were here at LSU he would have Aranda D and not have to worry about them 2 teams scoring.

Which is exactly what Herman wants to do on offense but he doesn't have the OL/RB talent to do so, so he has adapted his offense to his personnel.

This is exactly what he did at Ohio State as the OC. He is a power run out of spread sets guy.
