So... let me get this straight... are you suggesting that if LSU makes a coaching change that you would actually have Tom Herman at the top of your list?
You do realize that he is in the 2nd year of his 1st stint as a head coach? Not saying he's a dud or no good.... but he has no record of building and sustaining a program.

The play is Lane Kiffin at this point, the guy who doesn't currently have a head-coaching gig who will not be as hot as Herman. He'll be looking for a head-coaching gig at a big program; he, too, can obviously work with any type of QB; and Herman, if he is going to receive $5 million when Houston moves to the Big 12, will cost $6.5-7 million to get him now, but he may still turn it down due to already being in a P5 conference that may provide an easier path to the CFB. Bargaining with Kiffin may be more manageable.
