NCAA Coaches contracts 2015
I only see a few quality picks to be had that may be available.
Jimbo Fisher - most expensive
Mark Dantonio - this would be my logical pick if available.
Jim Mora Jr
Dabo Sweeney

Dantonio is too old and has health issues.

We'd really let Miles go for Mora, Jr. ?
See how this works? Easy to get in on it...easy to throw the stones and demand change...problem is, once you fire a coach, you have to hire someone else. I am not a Les pumper, but sometimes there really is no great alternative.

You guys realize that not everyone in america is an LSU fan right? fisher is the only one that would consider moving, and if he does it would be over tensions with FSU AD and higher ups about assistant coach pay. The other two are not going to leave programs they have built into national title contenders to come here.

There is no limit to the pool. Their contracts don't have to be up. If we'd buy out Miles then we'd pony up to buy out a current coach.

That is what this post is all about!
Not a lot of great choices unless go hire a wild card coordinator that hits a home run and I don't think LSU will try that.

The contract issue in not the point. If you want a proven elite coach who do you go get. This list obviously does not include NFL but I don't think we will be looking there either.
One wild card on that list that nobody has put much thought to is Gary Pinkel. He is obviously available and he has put a strong defense and high output offense on the field the last few years. He wouldn't excite me but he would not cause me any heartburn either.

Miles makes 35% more than Dabo... I think he would consider moving for that.
Another interesting gem on the list is Brian Kelly at a mere $1.2 Mil. Hudspeth and ULL makes that much... Again, would not excite me that much.
