Pretty much exactly what it is.

I believe it goes to the general SEC scholarship fund.

Oh, let's copy Clemson. That wins championships. Rush the field after every home win. YAY, look at me!

How do you even stop it?

Chained linked fence around the field and machine gun mounted turrets?

If I were Brian Kelly, I'd make it a challenge to the entire stadium to stay and if they win to FILL THE FIELD! Let everyone know that he would gladly pay the $250K fine with a smile on his face and do it in a speedo at the 50 yard line.

Good. I hope they keep rushing the field when we keep winning. Let the old farts cry about it. I'll take students rushing the field over a morgue of a stadium any day.

This right here. It is great to see enthusiasm again! It is great to see the stadium regaining some of its mojo!

I went down to the field last night and very much enjoyed it. I’d do it again. My last time was ‘97 after the Florida game. It was nice to get some pics with the kids. Let’s hope the students are inspired to rush the field again in two weeks.

Geaux Tigers!

Our $10,000,000 a year paying athletic director shrugs and takes another sip of whiskey.

How far back do they go for these repeat offenses? 2014 Ole Miss happened 8 years ago, which I assume was the first offense

Apparently a woman decides that. In my experience, women usually go back to birth when talking about perceived slights and infractions.

Look i get it as a 35 year old i have watched us whoop on ole miss a lot throughtout the years and would not rush the field on them; however, one of my finest memories is being on the field as a child when we took down #1 Florida. Cant complain about attendance and rowdy fans if you can not let the kids have fun. If it brings back the reputation of that stadium let them. Stop worrying about perception from other programs. Let me fill you in they are witnessing what Kelly is building and are scared of what LSU is about to become.

LSU more than makes up for $250K with all of the parking passes, pay lots, etc. they have instituted in the recent past.

It makes me wonder when does the “area of competition” start/stop being an “area of competition”? The game was over - who was competing? Parents are welcomed on the field during Senior Day. Streakers make an occasional appearance. What happens if a bunch of LSU fans go on the field at an away stadium? I ran on the field after LSU beat Notre Dame in South Bend in the 1980’s but I doubt an SEC school would be fined in a similar situation because of 4 or 5 drunk idiots.

It truly is embarrassing. Not something a program that's won three natties in the last 18 years, should do.

While I agree with rushing field vs a dead stadium, I’ll miss the days of being able to walk up to the fence and look across the field without any obstruction, because some bean counter will propose a higher fence to justify the cost of future fines. There should only be 2 reasons to rush the field, 1 when you beat the number 1 team in the nation or 2 when you’re unranked and beat bama. Only rush the field when it counts.
