ND has done pretty good this year in their conference......WAIT!!!! they don't play in a confrence, they get to hand pick their season. I would like them if they were not so over hyped every year, and played in a conference.

Alabama's opponents' average scoring offense rank: 63rd.

Notre Dame's opponents' average scoring offense rank: 67th.

Alabama's defense is pretty easily beating Notre Dame's defense in every category against similarly ranked offenses. The numbers don't really back up the idea that Notre Dame's defense is better than Bama's.

Bama and LSU have defenses that are on a very different level than Notre Dame. Notre Dame's defense is very disciplined and executes well. Alabama and LSU's defenses are just as disciplined, execute just as well, but the difference is that they just have much better athletes at almost every position.

Also Notre Dame has been in close games all year so they are keeping their number 1 defense out there until the end. LSU and Alabama are often putting third string out there and giving up cheap, meaningless points. Hardly anything is given up against LSU and Alabama when the game is still in doubt.

Post of the day, IMO.

I'm okay with them handpicking their opponents since they don't pick FCS schools unlike every school in the SEC.

I think the national media is just bored with the SEC at this point. Just trying to come up with something different to say.

i think that if a one loss sec champ is available they won't jump a undefeated team - even though sec fans would debate this.
