I am very excited to have a rematch with you guys. I think that we'll be in for a real tough game and I'm really wondering how well the extra time will prepare your defense for the option. I personally, am not a small man, and when planning a trip, I don't plan by activities, I plan by a "meal by meal" gameplan. The kind of food I like is good tasting, and atmostphere means nothing to me, so here are my suggestions for you on the meal by meal...stop by Gumbeaux's LINK if you make the trip to Atlanta. Its about 30 miles from the Dome in Douglasville, and honestly I never found any cajun better including my trips to louisiana....although I must give props to the seafood wontons at Blue Dog in Lafayette. If you want to stay in town and don't make your way out that far, the best bbq, I'd go with Dreamland LINK personally, but thats cause i am a rib guy. Upscale carnivores dream would be fogodechao LINK. Best hamburgers/hotdogs and fries are at Five Guys Burgers and Fries LINK for a "clean" version, and ofcourse the varsity LINKif you want food that taste good but sweeps through you like Paul Johnson's running backs. As far as breakfast goes...hell I don't eat breakfast, i save myself for the real meals....Italian I'd go with Scalini's or Magiano's although Scalini's is better to me LINK. JR Crickets has good wings if you're looking for that
LINK

If you're looking for any specific thing let me know and I'll try to give you a good suggestion. Seafood you're style I'd go with gumbeaux's although there is a pappadeaux LINK and its very good, with a pappasito's right next to it LINK for good upscale mexican place. Look forward to having you guys in town

I hate when someone makes a suggestion of somewhere to eat, and then doesn't give the best meal suggestion...so here are my regulars
Gumbeauxs - ponchetrain or seafood rotini (best bannana's foster ever...feeds 2 fatasses with no entree beforehand)
Dreamland - full rack, no sides but loaf bread
Fogo - tell everyone but filet man to go away
five guys - bacon cheese dog, bacon cheese burger and a regular fry (large cost more, but same size)
varsity - chili cheese dogs, onion rings, fries, frosted orange, apple pies, bacon cheese burger
scalini's - rolls are the best thing there, but the canneloni en bianca and the seafood pasta (anything with their white sauce or their rotella sauce which is a mix of white and red)
JR cricketts - however you like your wings
pappadeaux's - ponchatrain, bread pudding a must
pappacito's - special dinner for 2 (basically its fajita's but it comes with crazy stuff like lobster tails...3 different kinds of cheese dip for an app.

Listen up fatass , the SEC is going to smoke that arse in Atlanta. That being said, do you think we should kick Kentucky or Vanderbilt out of the SEC and replace them with GT. I liked the SEC when Tech was in it. When I was a kid we played y'all all the time. I think Tech is an SEC caliber team and would be a great addition.

What do you think?

Oh, I was just kidding about the fatass part, welcome to the rant. This is the best sports message board in all of college football so invite your friends and y'all wil stay. Like ole justin use to say, "I garontee"

LSU will kick y'alls arse though, I wasn;t kidding about that part.

jesus H, I wasn't expecting responses this late...do you bastards not have jobs or are you just night owls? I am working nights this week for the moron that took 2 weeks off that normally covers this shift...and I've enjoyed passing the time trolling here. I am dead on serious that if you guys can give me a good place to eat cajun next time i'm in the state, I'll meet you there and pick up the tab. I haven't found a place that compares to Gumbeauxs, but the guy who runs it is a transplant and a big time LSU fan (his place is where all the katrina transplants go to watch LSU games). I don't know how y'all feel about eating cajun (kinda like I wonder if Italians give a shite about eating good italian food when they can make it almost as good themselves)....but if you want it, its awesome.

oh we love our food! One of the things that keeps us in state is we hate the food when we're away.

bossross,

There is always somebody on this board to talk to. I was not kidding, this is the best board in all of college sports and football season is wild over here. I am a BAMA fan and I came here over a year ago and stayed. Hell a few of them even like me, not many, and they hate Sabans fricking guts but it's all good.

Seriously this is a great board.

Cool, you know auburn has a good vet school here in Alabama. Y'all have a vet school at LSU also don't you?

I have an old shitzu and the vet saved him the other day. I was pissed off and thought I was going to have to have him put to sleep. He is 16 and it was killing me. I was dreading the drive to his office. ends up he has an infection. Doc gave him some antibiotics and some prednisone and the little shite is kicking like a pack of ninjas.

He is just a little shite dog but I love the little sum bitch. He is an old man but I amy get a little more time out of him.

He's been a good one. I have fed him Wysong dog food his entire life, nothing else, and I thik that is why he is so healthy. Doc said his heart and lungs were great.

He has an Alabama jersey and pants. I tape his ankles on the weekends so he can go on beer runs with me.

His name is Bear and I know I will catch hell on here for that one.
