Source with connection to AD said this morning that Napier is Woodward’s guy and is a done deal.

Right. Woodward is the kind of AD who makes Saban and CUM say no before moving on to others. He’s not going to hire Napier this fast.
Edit: not saying Saban would ever consider coming back but you gotta at least make him say no.

I’ll be honest, Napier might be a good coach and could do decent here, but it would be an underwhelming hire. This is LSU, not Bowling fricking Green.
Guys like, Urban, Fickell, Peterson, Stoops, Cristobal, Franklin need to be getting the nod.
