Hawthorne sucks again today. There's way too many plays in which the listener has no idea of what's going on during the play.
Too many "That's hit hard................ Foul."
Let me know it's foul first.

He is far better at football than he is at baseball. He needs to give up on baseball.

I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that you haven't ever been to a baseball game.
You see sometimes when the ball is hit, it is apparent immediately that it will go foul. But sometimes you have to wait a bit to see exactly where the ball goes. So that it might be easier to see early that the ball was hit hard (which is easier to see) but more difficult and takes longer to see if it ends up going foul or stays fair.

I really like Jim Hawthorne. He does a good job. I can't imagine something happening to Jim and we get stuck with Kent Lowe doing PbP.
It is not like Mr. Hawthorne can call in sick on a Fall Saturday night or afternoon. I think he has done a magnificant job considering all of the preparation and travel he must endure. I don't think you should judge another man's journey in life until you walk a few miles in his shoes. I am going to miss Jim when he retires.

I think he gets tired and his calls get sloppy. In football they need to pull him off the "Tiger One" pregame show...

Looks like from most of the posts that most are sharing their inner most thoughts and feelings as well.
I've been doing it for so long, anything else seems to permeate a strange anti-LSU atmosphere.
Call me superstitious, but I don't want to hear network announcers live, only LSU faithful and damn the slip-ups.
