When LSU had a two and three deep rotation a few years back the "starters" played less than 60% of the snaps. This is what LSU needs to achieve to get dominant again on the DL. Now that the Tigers are 3-4 base you can throw the OLBs in as well.

The DL is not like the OL in terms of rotation in the number of quality players a team needs.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Gilmore does not start over Valentine. Then again I've been know to pump a little 'shine

I'm going to not go out on a limb and say Gilmore does start over Valentine against Wisconsin and probably for a while. I like Gilmore and I think the rotation of Gilmore and Valentine is going to be very good.

Nah I was comparing their contributions from previous year to their last season. Minter went from relatively unknown to a leading tackler and key to the defense. I feel like Herron will do really well but won't see a ton of snaps this year but next year he will become very well known among the national pundits
