The pass routes looked very good and the WR spacing was excellent. We are finally using the entire field. Clean up some execution issues and our passing game will be dangerous.

How was Jefferson getting so wide open 10 yards down field in Man Coverage? Did they just assume he was the homerun hitter and always going deep?

Let's work on catching the ball this week and we are solid

We were definitely running the safeties off on some deep routes. Overall the routes we ran were great.

I said after the spring game that I liked the concepts and philosophy of the offense. Between that and Burrow, I was cautiously optimistic going into the season. I think the jury is still out, but it was a good first game IMO.

And we haven't even got the te involved yet. We get that and the rbs catching the ball out the backfield we will be dangerous

Solid job, still much work to do. Lets get some things done this week so we are well prepared for what should be a tough game at Auburn.

But, I am liking what i am seeing thus far.

How did Jefferson only have offers from LSU and Nicholl’s State?

If the WRs stop the damn drops, the #s will skyrocket

Have many drops did Miami have? Maybe 1?

I gave the coaching staff a lot of shite after camp because Orgeron said it was "a successful camp." I thought he needed to come out with a team that looked prepared and I think they exceeded that on offense considering it was a new OC, new skill players and a QB that's only been here for 2 months.

2 weeks from now at Auburn though, I'm expecting to see more and we will need to see more in order to win a tough road game.

I also assume with no returning starters at WR the defenses dont know who is actually what role, making it hard to put your best CB on LSUs best WR, speed on speed, or one that will need safety help....this weekend my be more vanilla than I thought just to keep Auburn from getting anymore film to look at than absolutely needed.

I have no idea because Jefferson is a damn player. The way he moves really reminds me of a kid I played against in JV football my freshman year. Lastrapps from breaux bridge. Sadly he passed away far too young but they move so alike it’s freaky to watch.

Long strider with great fast twitch. He’s already a silky smooth route runner and will only get better with Sullivan here. He probably isn’t a combine freak but he’s def a football player. These are the kids we need to recruit , on paper I would guess literally every school in the country would have picked Drake Davis before Jefferson yet Jefferson is the better player by a mile.
