Hate to say this but: No LF = Blessing in disguise for LSU offense.

Great write up on how so many more players are involved in the offense.
The change in the Tigers’ offense is obvious, something made even clearer in a 45-10 win over Southern Miss on Saturday night: They’re spreading the wealth. They’re moving the ball around, targeting an assortment of players like they haven’t in years.
"For instance, through six games, LSU has three receivers with at least 13 catches. The last time that happened: 2010. Two tight ends have at least four catches. That hasn't happened through the first six games of a season since at least 2005."
Yes. Ensminger has a lot to do with it too but I doubt we are this spread out with LF7 in the backfield. Will be interesting to see if we continue to mix it up once he gets back.

Chark Plus LF7 equals good too

How is not having one of the best backs in college football a blessing? This is just dumb

ehhhh. I'd still rather have LF out there but I'll concede its probably allowed us the chance to look for yards elsewhere and give some looks to guys we can now rely on down the road.

Add LF and this offense is even better.
Don't equate anything that Less did, he was a buffoon.

Guice is averaging 10 a pop. The offense would have evolved under a new OC with or without LF. Only positive about him being down is that he'll be 100% for November and Guice's confidence has to be sky high.

You guys are tripping. The article is saying without LF7 the offense has found other options. Teams knew we relied on Fournette for almost everything but now they can't key on stopping just him. The box will open up, they have to worry about guice. Give help over top with Chark, worry about size disadvantage with Dupre. Have someone strong enough and quick enough for smith. And account for Etlings scrambling ability.

Dont disagree. We Are a better team with LF7 no doubt but you cant deny the offense being more creative without him out there. Hes so good why wouldnt you rely on him? Problem is teams have had 2 years to get used to him and game plan for him now so he may not have the success he did last year.

I hear what your saying. I think more has to do with regime change than LF being out. This offense will actually be more dangerous when LF comes back. Basically because
LF+DG >>>>>> DG+DW
LF+DG >>>>>> DG+DW

I think there is something to that as long as Buga comes back now that we are in the thick of it.
Im glad Guice has all these runs under his belt this year. Good things are coming for our offense if the Buga we love comes back

I've mentioned something similar after Les was fired. Remember when he was asked about overhauling the offense. Having Fournette at RB made him more stubborn about changing the offense.

I think it's more of no Les and Cam
You still want the talent, but I like seeing us spread the ball around to all our great players.
We have become a better team by not relying so much on a handful of guys.. which is what LSU was doing, mostly Fournette, then forcing tore Dural and Dupre on low percentage routes/pass plays..
We have truly opened it up

I disagree. Under Ogeron I think we still get diversity on offense while still getting LF7 the the ball.

I think getting Guice this many touches is great and sets us up nicely for next year, but I'm ready to add Fournette to the mix.
The reason the O spreads the ball around more is the coaching change and new coordinator, not because Fournette has been out. I expect to see a healthy dose of both her and Guice once LF is back

that's like going to get state-of-the art cancer treatment and losing an arm in a car wreck on the way home, and saying it was losing the arm that cured you.
dumb.
dumb.

It has nothing to do with fournette.
It's not having a narrow-minded system. It's understanding that the best way to make any one player successful is to have everyone be successful.
Fournette in this new open multiple offense will make it that much more dangerous

The old play calling with fournette made fournette too predictable.
