Has the Sky Fallen? No, all we need is for Bama to lose

... for Mississippi State to beat Alabama. If that happens, we control our destiny again for everything, the SEC title and the playoffs.

Alabama didn't panic when they lost to Ole Miss. They needed to do two things, win, and get help. They won, and they got the help when Ole Miss lost.

So LSU just needs the same attitude: Focus on winning so we can capitalize when Alabama falters.

I agree with you, but most of the "fans" aren't going to enjoy your positive "vibe" this early in the week after the FIRST loss of the season.

While not probable, it's certainly not impossible

Is it possible for LSU to benefit from a Florida loss to South Carolina and have South Carolina beat Alabama in the SEC championship and that will allow LSU to leap both into the playoffs if LSU wins out. Didnt Alabama slip into the 2011/2012 BCS championship game by not winning the conference championship.

Florida has the SEC East locked up.

This is the main concern. My confidence in this team went from sky high thinking they would give Bama a tough game and probably win, to the same nervousness of the last four years that LSU would find a way to blow it.

I hope they prove that notion wrong and the Tigers get back on the winning track.

I'm hoping this happens as well but am not holding my breath.

Winning the lottery sounds more plausible at this point.

you are correct, a south carolina win over Florida this Saturday and a Florida victory over Alabama in the SEC championship game would give both Florida and Alabama two conference loss and if LSU wins out would they be the playoff committee selection

Bama lost early and let's face it, for all intents and purposes, gave that game to ole miss. By the time they played us, they were back to controlling their own destiny.

There's a huge difference between that and our situation.

In that scenario, I think no one from the SEC gets in the playoff.

And they're still alive in the SEC West if we slip up

It's not like they have nothing to play for. They don't turn the ball over often and Dak might give them fits.

They don't have an elite defense but since they don't turn the ball over much they limit the amount of points they give up.

Wow - that's likely to happen!

I guess Dak is going to run for 150 like LF did
