I know they were good during and around the Manning years, other than that have they ever done anything?

Kinda stupid thread. They’ve had success in basketball and football.

They thought they were super relevant in 2001… until the SEC championship game ended

They were pretty damn good at basketball during the Maravich years. They’ve had eras of successful football.

Historically, they've been great in football. Our record vs them in football is still pretty lopsided even with our recent success.

I don't think they've won an SEC title in football since '98. They've also lost to their main rival 15 straight years. Ouch. Before that, their series with Bama was pretty much even.

In other sports, their women's basketball was good with Pat Summitt.

They literally just won the SEC tournament in basketball and won the regular season championship in 2018.

Please stop posting crap like this. This is how fanbases get the reputation of being insecure and the sky is falling mentality. They have a really good baseball team. Be proud of this team and the progress we are making. Future is bright for LSU baseball and football. Not long ago Tennessee was were we are and now they seem to have arrived. Enjoy the ride and respect the competition. SEC championship would be meaningless if LSU were the only good team.

Heath Shuler was there QB once upon a time. They we’re one of the first teams back in the day when their DEs wore single digit numbers that was cool back then. Yes they’re relevant but it’s been awhile since football was championship worthy. Basketball with Pat Summit one of the best coaches of any sport
