Yeah dude, he completely gave up on Ott. Told me he's kicking him off the team next week.

He had Ott warming up, but after the top of the 8th, he came out to the bullpen and told Matty something, then Ott sat down. Take it FWIW. I think Ott may have tossed a little in the pen in the 9th

I doubt it because he is way too loyal just like Les Miles; same reason he hasn't given up on Watkins

The same Watkins that he yanked in the middle of the game last weekend and hasn't seen the field since?

It isn't like he has a bunch of options. If someone is injured or nobody else can produce, he probably will get another shot. If Marcus Davis were still here he would've taken over by now. But this is all we have.

Its simple. Matty has clearly lost something. He has been flat out lit up. Its time to win - thats it. PM is going to do what he needs to do to give the ball club the best chance to win. That doesnt look to be Ott as of today. I agree with poster who say he will prob. get one more chance. If he gets popped - that could be it. Its about the team. Not about giving up on Matty and shame on him. He is paid to win ball games.

It was a legitimate question.

How many of you trust Ott in a 1 or 2 run lead in the 9th?

Im not trying to belittle Ott...Im really just curious.

And I wont be a weenie and not post my answer. I would NOT trust Ott in that situation. I think something is physically wrong with Matty..not his fault.

Ott and berry both went to the pen. Berry was to come in to put out the fire eades started and ott to finish. Berry was very sucessfull and coach left him in to start the 9th. Thats when coach went to the pen and told ott he was staying with the hot hand. If u noticed when berry went three balls on the first batter, ott got up and started warming up. One walk or hit and he was coming in.
