Sounds like some of you guys are already planting the seeds for the "DAMMIT MILES PUT IN JENNINGS" after an incompletion from Mett

...without having seen him play a single down. It's quite impressive.

Impressive bunch of followers Anthony Jennings has already managed to assemble.

What you expect?

We have had QB's and receivers that didn't progress one bit from where they were in high school..

Its funny how high we build these guys up and how badly we tear them down if they dont live up to impossible expectations.

I don't understand why some people think its impossible for a freshman to come in and immediately make an impact. It doesn't take everyone a year+ to develop. Jennings is damn good and we could definitely benefit from having him on deck in case mett went down

Name 1 true freshmen QB that played at higher level than Mett last year in the SEC.

I think Jennings will be calling the offensive plays like Peyton Manning does by week 6.

Honestly, This wouldn't be a huge shock .

I wouldn't be shocked if Jennings and Rettig both passed Rivers.

Some people here are acting like Rivers is John Elway.
I mean, nothing against Rivers, but he was basically a project when we got him out of high school. He was still a project last year. Just because he is Phillip Rivers brother, doesn't make him Phillip Rivers.

That being said, Rivers may go on to do great things here, but he wasn't some can't miss prospect when he came out of Athens High School.

it makes zero sense to rush AJ along at this point

We've seen the downside to this already with the previous QB's. If Mett goes down, it will be Rivers but you will see some packages with Jennings IMO.

Mett = Leak with better arm
Jennings = Tebow with better arm/less running ability

Championship

This is the same fanbase that didn't think Mett could play when he came after a year at JUCO and was entering his 3rd year of college. I believe the phrase was "he hasn't started an SEC game". And at that time we had 2 QBs who had performed worse than Mett did last year.

When Mett came, we were also going through an OC change, but he could apparently not be ready to play in the SEC.

Why have we now switched to the belief that Jennings is ready to play right away? Seems like we have a better QB situation now then we did when Mett came, but we have fans that think Jennings is ready to play.

Except Tebow's Running ability was a huge part of why he played any as a freshmen...
