Thanks for being such a loyal customer and I hope you remain one. We have business reasons for maintaining the paper page size. Consider starting a “new” championship wall. I understand since we faced those same issues here in our building with the 2007 football championship.
Geaux Tigers!
Charlene
A bitchy response if you ask me

You should reply with something like:
Dear Charlene,
Thank you for your unique suggestion on starting a new championship wall . After careful consideration and much deliberation I have decided that your idea about starting a new championship wall is a good idea. Could you be kind enough to give me the number to the Times-Picayune so I can contact them about placing an order for their poster. Since the posters will be on different walls I guess it doesn't matter if they all come from the advocate now. Thanks for your help.
PS Could you also go ahead and cancel my subscription to your newspaper. Thanks

Not sure why I insist on "feeding the trolls", but...
Lsut81-
Maybe you could contact the Advocate and offer your creative writing skills to help formulate a more appropriate response. Something, more heartfelt, more caring, more understanding...Something that would perhaps be more acceptable to you and the other rational thinking folks in this thread.
After all; Your Avator and Signature Picture, not to mention the "meaningful" message of your signature text strike me as exuding and overflowing with class...such a fine collection could only have been assembled by a deep thinker, such as yourself, I'm sure you have plenty to offer!
Closing observation/suggestion...
33,000+ post in just over 4 years...
Don't get me wrong, I love LSU as much as anyone, and this message board is a great place to share opinions and kill some time.
But, averaging 20+ post a day for over 4 years, can't be healthy!
Get a life! Step away from the keyboard!
Live a little, go for a walk, or a bike ride, maybe get a pet, or a hobby that doesn't require a computer....
Try SOMETHING, Try ANYTHING!
But for God's sake, GET A LIFE!
Hope that didn't sound too "bitchy"!
Best of Luck with it!

The new small posters suck. Got mine in and it looks like the picture was taken with a .1 megapixel camera. They're blurry and the quality blows. I'm glad I bought the 2007 football one from the TP. I won't get anymore from the advocate.

Yep... I'm in Dallas. Got it Thursday.

In 2006 the Advocate made a major upgrade to New printing presses which substantially improved the quality of the Newspaper, along with a reduction in the actual size of the Newspaper.
This is true, but they still have the same silly spelling errors. What's up with that? Can't afford spell check. I type better than the Advocate with my iPhone!!! So much for "quality". Go back to 8th grade English. Do not pass go. Do not collect one-hundred dollars.

WOW! This is like shooting fish in a barrel!
Let's see...
Comparing a local Newspaper changing the size of a "poster" commemorating a sporting event to the brutal killing of 6,000,000+ innocent people.
Why to keep things in prospective USMCTiger03-
You're further proof that "common sense" really isn't that common!
But hey, 29,000+ post in just UNDER two years, an average of about 45 a day.
Congratulations, You're the latest member of the..."I really should get a LIFE" club!
Feel free to reference my suggestions from my previous post.
Best of Luck!

WOW!, and you feel like such an e-badass dont you???
Im still waiting on a response to my question about how more matting is going to affect the way that the prints look next to each other?
Or are you going to move on to making lame jokes about post counts again

1. Find the nearest willing member of whatever sexual oriented group you are attracted to. This may involve you traveling hundreds of miles. Pack accordingly and remember to top off your gas tank.
2. Get laid as many times as you are able to given whatever resources you have available.
3. Relax and remember it is an internet message board, not a doctoral thesis or arena.
Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Everyone seems to think something being "digital" makes it "magic"!
But proportion is proportion, I don't care if you're altering an image by using "pixels" or "Silly Putty"...if you do it in a disproportional manner (which the difference in poster sizes would require) the end result will look stupid.
I used to work in the Printing Industry throughout HS and College...specifically with the large Heidelberg Presses and in Pre-Press which is in the design and mock-up portions.
I could explain to our friend Moot that it was a design flaw and a business decision but he still wouldn't believe me. They could have stretched it, enlarged it, or rotated that bastard to any degree they wanted.
Changing Plates or whoever argued that earlier wouldn't be a problem. Its whoever decided that they wanted to save money by using materials they already had that affected this job. Because once they come off the press they are cut and diced. In all probability the dimensions of the paper when it came off might have been 14 X 22 depending on what type of paper they are using.
They usually run the newspaper off a webpress but creating the posters the same size as the older ones would have had to been outsourced more than likely because the overall process might not have been worth doing in house. I don't know if they actually make money off of these but if they contract the jobs out I doubt they are making that much. But since they seemed to have done the job in house with their current setup, they probably making a ton.
