Doesn't seem he is coaching Harris TO TAKE ANYTHING off the ball.
He still throws 5 yard passes as hard as he can
Exactly. Which is what Harvey was alluding to and what I found interesting.
If he is being coached to not throw it so hard, why is he still doing it?

"Bottom line to me is that Cameron was supposed to be the answer to the prayers for the QB position at LSU but he hasn't done jack shite with Harris."
I firmly believe great quarterbacks are born. Zach Mettenberger looked damn good in only one year here. I guess that was all Cam. I do not believe Harris' problem is coaching. He is not and never has been an SEC caliber QB. Our biggest problem has been getting an SEC caliber QB to LSU.

I remember seeing a video of Cam working with some QB prospects this summer that has him saying throw it as hard as you can, it might've been to either Franks or the kid that is a sophomore. It's that video taken on LSU's campus and Brandon Harris is walking around watching everyone if anyone else remembers what I'm talking about.

Mettenberger threw for a ton of yards in Juco. Passing was never an issue with him. Didn't really need to learn how to throw. More of his pocket presence.
Harris need coaching. The thing I can't figure out is how did Harris has nosedived. He threw at just above a 50% completion percentage in high school but now doesn't seem to be able to throw a 10 yard out without it bouncing to the receiver. Seems like we would try to let him make easier throws with maybe some "rub" routes in there to get his confidence up. Instead it's run, run, BOMB!!

And I'm sure there was no other context that Cam said that in.
Certainly sounds like the way he HEARD IT for sure

He was saying that to Frank's at a camp

Do we need to go through who this guy has developed again? Grbac, Randal el, breese, rivers, flaco, even tyrod taylor,
did he really "develop" any of those players?
1) Elvis Grbac - Elvis Grbac was highly touted 6 foot five QB from a high school "football factory". He also had Desmond Howard to throw to. I have a feeling Grbac would have been successful whereever he went. Lets give Cam a "maybe"
2) Randle-El - Cam helped develop Randle-El from a QB (because he was the most athletic guy on the team) to wide receiver.
3) Drew Brees - Before Cam got a hold Brees, Brees was busy setting records for just about every Big 10 QB statistical category. This was at the same time Cam was supposedly developing Randle-El.
4) Phillip Rivers- Like Brees, Rivers came to the NFL a 4 year starter from NCSU and owned practically every ACC QB record in the books. By the time Rivers got on the field in San Diego, Cam had developed Rivers so well, Cam and Schottenheimer got fired.
5) Flaco only prospered after Cameron was let go by Baltimore.
6) Tyrod Taylor-- see Flaco.
As a collegiate QB coach, I fail to see where Cam has any true success as a QB coach.

This is where you lost me. Check their record in totality since he departed.
They were 9-4 when he got fired and he was given a ring by the Ravens.

Maybe, just maybe, a man who chose to attend THE LSU University missed a couple of context clues.

Except he was here for 3, and played for 2, and looked only slightly better than Harris in his first year. And he had two pro bowl WR's to throw to.

I disagree.
You might be right in principle, but I've watched Derek Carr go from a scrub who was afraid to sit in the pocket as a rookie, to a guy who's throwing brilliantly in his second year.
QB's might be born, but they also need to work really hard to become competent against quality opponents.

You are honestly going to sit here and tell us you think Cam has coached Harris to throw touch passes the way he does?
no I'm saying just the opposite. I'm saying Harris probably doesn't have a learning disability that would prevent him from understanding 'throw touch passes, don't drill it in, on short passes' if he had been coached that way.
Apparantly no one is coaching him to throw it easier and with touch on short passes because it's not something that is that hard to understand or to practice.

Then he followed up with a suggested drill, his son's QB coach Ed Zaunbrecher uses...I thought that was funny.. Harvey is a good listen on Tuesday mornings.

Methinks you're having trouble understanding what is being said to you.

That's a solid technique for developing young arms (football and baseball). Once developed, there are next steps.

Not that Harvey indicated. My quote was precise "Every time".
Even said his son realized that it wasn't right.
Yeah. I'm sure that's what's going on.
Cameron actually wants Brandon Harris to literally throw it as hard as he can on these short routes.
The average IQ on this board is about 85.

in the 4 or 5 weeks leading to Cams dismissal, Flacco was digressing. Check his stats.

As he should have for being a member of the team 12/16 weeks.
My point is people keep saying Cameron's resume shows how well he develops QB's. I'm not seeing it.
I mostly see him being hired or recommended for jobs by successful Michigan coaches.

A large majority of Harris' passes sail high, so that would seem to point towards his mechanics, not the speed of the ball itself?
