He needs to learn when to take some of those RPMs off.

A lot of good throws and good decisions on some of the incompletions as well. Also, in formations with 3 wrs, we look to protect better and get the ball out quicker. That was a really strong game. I know a lot of people will say, yeah USC's defense is weak, but they came out to hit Fournette and, for the most part, they shut him down. Harris, Guice, and Williams in the one back sets made the difference really. It also gives Florida a lot more to digest and worry about this week.

I think we started rolling when we got in the spread formation. They can't stack the box as much and LF is still getting that head steam that he does in the I formation. Losing JdM sucks but our offense can be ran through the spread and I think it could work. His best run came from the spread if I am remembering right

A really fine job Qbing when one recognizes that he was harassed on EVERY throw.

Nice video!

Was it ever revealed who the target was on the long TD pass to 83?

That kid on the jumbotron was hilarious. They cut back to him a few times.

Outside of the TD pass to the corner, he had a rough 2nd quarter.

Looking at his throws this way reveals an even better performance than on first impression.

Take away the two drops, the spike, the incompletion when hit in the pocket, and the two deliberate throw aways and his stats are pretty phenomenal.Of course the tipped ball TD sort of evens things out. He really only threw four bad passes. The worst being the hanging ball to Dupre that was almost intercepted. The future looks bright.

and thanks OP for your weekly compiling of these videos Great job.

lots of check down throws this week

its as if Miles and Cameron are capable of making adjustments week to week

I know tRant thinks that never happens, but last week it was "we only throw hail marys" and this week there were a lot of underneath throws

huh

that would have been a TD if he throws it a second earlier

that was just another case of Harris waiting for the guy to get open instead of anticipating him being open

it will come with more confidence

Second play - not a fan of the way he spins out/backwards to try to avoid an upfield rusher. Needs to learn to climb the pocket and let that rusher go past him. Instead he ends up 17 yards behind the LOS by the time he's back to facing downfield and is still running to avoid the sack.

Two ugly passes in a row beginning around the 1:20 mark of that clip. Worst he had all day. Glad to he bounced back after those.

Dupre continues to drop the "fastballs" like the one at 1:40.

Fade to Dupre at 2:26 was a thing of beauty.

Don't know what the play was at the 3:15 mark. Pocic is pulling around left tackle and let the DT release straight upfield. No way Teuhema is getting across in time to pick that block up for a play where Harris is straight back in the pocket. Perhaps Harris was supposed to roll left? Whatever it was, we're lucky that his arm wasn't hit slightly sooner resulting in a fumble instead of an incomplete pass.

For those who say he doesn't throw receivers open, go look at the play starting at 4:05. If he leads Dupre he walks him right into the Safety. If he throws it lower, the trailing CB may be able to get a hand on it. Instead, he puts it high where the trailing CB can't get it and Dupre is able to go up and get it.

Play beginning at 4:52 is one that allows people to complain about our receivers not high-pointing the ball. As Harris begins to throw, there's a DB in position to make a play if he throws it on a line. This is one where Dupre needs to stop short and go up to get the ball. Instead he turns and backpedals which allows the Safety to come over the top and knock it away (lucky it wasn't a pick).

Play beginning at 7:58 - needs to throw that away and not take the sack. He was outside the pocket in time to heave it out of bounds before the defender chased him down from behind.

Play at 8:16 - I'm not sure who that was intended for. I hope it was intended for Dural. If so, it was a good pass. If intended for D. Smith, it was way overthrown and we got lucky that Dural was back there.

Overall, I see the progress he's making and believe the passing game will continue to improve, but there's obviously some things that need work.
