The staff should know what they have in Jennings by now. Harris should be given the nod at least as much as Jennings was. Especially since he was benched in favor of Harris already. That decision seemingly acknowledges he's your guy going forward and of the future. To go back on that now, undermines both QB's Imo.

I do not understand the indecision and cannot see a positive side to handling the QB situation this way.

I want to trust Les and the staff but their history of handling the QB position leaves a lot to be desired. (And thats being mild)

Ive said it many times before but if Les and Co. don't start Harris, who needs the experience, I can no longer support the Coach or the offensive staff.

Agree?

Disagree............Les Miles proved the rant wrong.......Harris is not ready........He couldn't handle a snap on 1st drive, looked wide eyed........I prefer him coming off the bench until proven otherwise.

He won't only because Miles is a fricking idiot and will pull something that will destroy Harris' confidence. That, I trust.

So your QB of the future will only get to play in Mop up duty and not throw much at that. Thats the history of "bringing a QB along at LSU" under miles.

I would prefer Les start the QB that the coaching staff truly believes is the future of the program.

This season is looking rough regardless of who starts at QB.

Harris got benched vs Auburn....

Jennings got benched vs fricking New Mexico St..... NEW MEXICO ST.

You start Harris and let him take his lumps and grow / learn for the future. Jennings does NOT give us a better chance of winning if he was at QB spot. If we had someone clearly better, then I would say sit Harris. But we don't. He's a young kid loaded with talent, just needs to gain experience and reps vs good teams and he will grow and be a great QB for us.

No point in playing Jennings over Harris.

Honestly I would split the snaps between them, but on a per series basis. Whoever gets the hot hand gets the nod. Harris looked awful after talking a big game. He is definitely the QB of the future though and needs to keep playing. Really doesn't matter who is in there if our playcalling stays toss, toss, 40 yard bomb. Let them both get reps and I bet one will seperate by the end of the year.

Put them both in at the same time. Maybe they can calm each other down inside the huddle. Whoever doesn't take the snap can line up at tight end... no production lost there.

The problem is IMO, the defense isn't good enough to keep us in the game this season and the O-Line isn't good enough to support a conservative run-centered scheme. Jennings has great poise and comfort in the pocket but huge lack of consistency throwing. Jennings could be a good ball manager QB if our Oline was better, but.

Harris has the ability to make the throws consistently but got very rattled in his first start under very tough circumstances. So I think Harris is our only hope based in the factors above, ie, Harris' issues are fixable, Jennings not so much.

Regardless, you don't throw Harris out there if he isn't ready for it. And by the way he looked against AU, the situation was too big for him. He has the tools, he is the more talented QB, but he has to learn to play under these conditions. He has a ton of confidence and is going to be a good Qb for us in the future, but leaving him in when he was playing that bad would not have been good for him or the team.

Harris clearly hurt is ankle in the game. I don't think he gets pulled otherwise.

You all know you'd be bitching up a storm if he wasn't pulled and suffered a serious sprain in the end.

Harris should start if he's healthy and only if he's healthy.

It does not matter whose in there at QB, Kragthrope as far as I'm concerned when your offensive game plan is to only hand the ball off the to the RB all night long with 9 men in the box until your forced to throw.

17 of the first 20 plays were running plays. And by this time we were down 24-7.

You can't be serious. Have you been watching the same games I have?? He gets happy feet every time Dural is covered. How is that poise and comfort in the pocket??

Both of them should be in on either side of Magee who pitches out to the one not getting killed at that moment then fling it to Dural for the TD.

/cut to Muschamp's head literally splitting open and spewing lava.

In the Aub game, Jennings was mostly composed in the pocket from what I recall. Certainly much more so than Harris.

Defense had dialed it back. 3 man rushes playing prevent leads to less pressure and a more poised QB.

MUST start BH.

He has the skills. He was clearly nervous during the AU game. Hell, have any of you been to a road game? I shite bricks at almost every stadium and I'm 300 ft from the field.

I truly think he has what it takes to adjust. It won't be pretty for the next game or two, but he has that gamer attitude.

He'll get it and when he does look out.

Harris looked not so good on Saturday. In fact, he has only looked good in very low pressure situations.

I just want us to try and win, put in the QB that you feel gives us a chance to run an actual offense.
