Does Miles just go exclusive with Ettling or does he start peppering in Harris again? I hope the former. But again, this is Les Miles we're talking about. He can't ever be proven wrong.

Making sure Danny boys water is nice and cold and his seat on the bench is extra toasty.

Ettling is 2 picks and a bad half away from being benched. We know this because Les Miles.

barring injury and blowouts, if Harris sees the field again, Les will lose his job

I agree but why is this? Because he isn't the elder and haven't been "his" guy for too long?

I don't really know what to think about his.

It took a punch in the face to make a change from Harris before. Why?

I don't know but it looked to me that after Etling took that knee to end the game, Harris ran over to him and congratulated him. I know he's made some questionable decisions over the past few days but I was glad to see this. I know he wants to be the man and who doesn't, that's why players come here. Maybe he saw how much more efficient the offense was and is accepting that he just wasn't getting it done at the moment. Harris always seemed like a good kid and I think he will start to put in that extra work and when he is called on again, you will see an improved player.

I hate to say this but honestly what does BH do better? I don't even think bh runs better so no point and bringing him in like we did RP or Jefferson

It's frustrating to think this could actually happen, but we know how Miles works. He creates a toxic atmosphere where his QB is terrified to make a mistake. The coaches need to support Etling 100%. If he starts looking over his shoulder because he feels that Miles is looking for a chance to unseat him, then he's done. So far, he's played with great poise and hopefully will only continue to get better.

Etling is the qb. If not this year, LSU will flirt with the ship next year, unless there is a coaching change. I know many may disagree, but it would almost be a shame for Etling if Miles and Cam are gone after this season. New coach and staff could make it more unlikely to win it all right away next year.

ETA: thinking back, Mauck, and Flynn won championships after having their breakout season. It sets up nicely for Etling with continued success this season.

Could he have the same role that Ryan Perrilloux had in 2007? Coming on short yardage situations.

Yeah, it would really suck for a qb to get an OC who could develop him & to have a HC who runs, or allows his OC to run, an offense that puts him in a position to spread the ball around to the talent that surrounds him.
Surely you don't believe LM & CC will have this team prepared to "flirt with a championship"? It would be a blessing to Etling, & every other member of the team, if LM & CC are gone after this season. Someone in another post mentioned that LM is

; unfortunately, this is the insanity that could become fact. (JJ/JL 2011). I was a CLM supporter but I have seen the light, his time here is over. He has done great things for the LSU football program & been a great ambassador for the university but his time here is done, the game has passed him up & he stubbornly refuses to accept it. Etling is too little too late & even then, it's not like CLM really "likes" that he had to make the move.

We will lose ALOT after this year. I don't think the draft will be as nice to us after this season as it was last year.

Surely you don't believe a new coach and staff would come in and win a championship the first year. You guys who say, "anybody but the guy we have now" are always looking over the fence at the other grass.
