re: Harris' regression - what was the reason for it?

Against Florida, Harris hit two lucky long passes that if incomplete would have brought his passing yardage way down. Yet people point to that game as his best, but those passes required no reading of a defense just like the fade in the end zone that we always go to. The fact is that the kid has not been taught or can not learn how to read defenses.

Flea flicker was a great play. Absolutely nothing was lucky about that.
The scrambling play was lucky, but it was also a great play by Harris. He escaped pressure and saw Dupre downfield and threw it right on the money.

The point is that it does not require reading a defense and throwing to an open receiver.

Everything that can go wrong, went wrong.

This was a big part of it.
Think the OL against Bama's DL also made them (the OL) lose confidence.

We run an I-formation and he's a spread quarterback.

I hope we play whatever team you pull for and Harris lights that azz up. Troll

1. TE and FB got injured. Running game went to shite. LSU's passing game works off the running game.
2. Played toughest defenses at the end.
#1 is the main reason. Obviously TAMU's defense sucks, and Harris still struggled.

Pass pro was poor all year, WRs struggled with drops,

So Florida's defense wasn't as good as Aggie or arkie or om? Yeah....no....fail.
Posted on 12/23/15 at 6:54 am to Penrod
Uh....running game went to shite because there was no threat of passing game beating them.

Lol....you might wanna check out the stats of the black bears on defense before making this ridiculous claim....hell...look at head to head.

LSU started losing. Played way to tight and scared to frick up. Not playing loose like earlier in the season.
