Harris accuracy broken down by pressure

I actually like Brandon Harris and think we should run an offense that plays to his strengths. I think he should run the ball at least 7-10 times a game, but forcing a spread read/option QB into a Pro Style offense is yielding very concerning passing stats.

Tragedy. Harris should be told to count to 3 and go.

If he runs more, the offense instantly opens up.

He was probably told not to run due to fear of injuries and lack of better options behind him in this system. I didn't rewatch the game, so it's possible that the opportunites just weren't there - outside of that last play.

Would definitely deter teams from running man to man

Problem is you need to be able to attack the middle of the field to kill a zone defense

It was a comedy of errors Saturday. The were getting pressure right up the middle without even blitzing. When the OL picked up the pressure and created a pocket, Harris was antsy and bailed too early instead of stepping up in the pocket. Just a baffling performance on so many levels.

So his accuracy goes down when there is no pressure. That can't be good.

Not necessarily surprising. Usually more guys in coverage.

ETA it isn't a very large sample size either.

I'd love to see him run more, but remember how conservative we are on offense. If Harris takes a hit and get hurt, who steps up after him? I think that has got to play a fact in why he's not running more.

I picked up on this also very poor pocket presence still. He threw off his back foot on every pass he missed on.

Wanna know how I know you didn't watch the game?

Are you implying that didn't happen? There weren't a ton of situations where it occurred, but a failure to step up while continuing to read the play has been an Achilles heel for this team through quite a few QBs. When you continue to drop back and bail, the DEs are right there to meet you. A 5 or 7 step drop doesn't require you to stay that deep the entire time.

Regardless, my point was that Harris and the OL couldn't help one another very much.

I can say this when he had the time he put the ball on Dural and Dupre for the most part.

I agree but the oline performance was worse than Harris's Pocic and Boutte on that screen pass to Fournette was the most cringe worthy blocking I have ever witness.
