Maybe a rocket arm but his pocket presence, accuracy, and focus on his primary target continue to get worse. Say what you will, but the play calling and blocking schemes appeared to me to be much better than average last night, and Harris simply cannot deliver enough consistency to keep drives going.
He may be the best QB in the stable, but the fact that the coaches won't pull him for a series or two to give someone else a chace to bring a "hot hand" or at least to help Harris calm down is my biggest criticism of the coaches now. Look at Saban, Stoops, and Meyer as prime coaching examples who have no qualms with shaking up the QB lineup if they aren't effective.

Maybe miles has been so one dimensional of late because he knows his quarterbacks can't deliver.

Practice, practice, practice. You don't develop a passing game during the last 3 weeks of the season. And no, throwing the ball 45 yards down field to the sideline ISN'T a passing game. Harris is a 5 star recruit who experts say has all the tools. He needs practice and repetition.

Harris can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Diarse can't catch a roll of toilet paper.

They haven't been able to deliver for years.

Who's the head man in charge? Who is responsible for years of terrible qb's who aren't developed?

If he knows it, why doesn't he change something?

ground crews are busy at work this morning repairing the craters left in the floor of Tiger Stadium by several passes he threw.

Miles has been one dimensional because it has served him well for 36 years. A 2 week "coaching change threat" isn't going to change 36 years of habit.

If you think the kid hasn't been practicing over the last two years, you're naive. Didn't he supposedly excel at the QB summer tutelage program? It hasn't translated on the field. I'm not one of those who believe a 1st year starter should light it up - odds are more against rather than in favor of that - so maybe we give the kid a chance to continue to develop - but I'm almost in the two-QB system boat now to create some competition and give us some backup options if nothing else.

Miles is a RB oriented coach. Everyone else, including the QB, are there in supportive roles. It's very difficult to develop a QB in such a system.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong, but wasn't this kid a top dual threat QB coming out of high school? Isn't it feasible that at least part of what led to this success was being able to run? I venture to say that successful runs impacted his confidence and maybe played into his "rhythm" at the position. I still do not understand why the staff believes that this is a recipe for success.
