If LSU runs the same offense (consider new OC), then Brennan is the much better option. His understanding of the offense is levels deeper than the freshman QBs. His numbers were great this year also. But if a new OC brings something new where both QBs are on an even playing field knowledge-wise, then who knows.

Myles put up gawdy yards that game vs state but his decision making was down right terrible and he was shook as frick. He held the ball way too many times.

Now he should really be 3-0 as the starter if our D wasn't the worst ever, but he contributed in a major way to losing vs State. Yards were great, decisions during the game weren't.

I don't see why we wouldn't have a real qb competition and he should be favored considering his time in the program and time under Joe and his physical tools. I don't see why we would just hand him the starting job.

Brennan did get to play Vandy, Max played at Florida.
Nothing against Brennan, just didn't seem to have it.
I hate he's waited his turn and it hasn't worked out.

If we are starting a true freshman next year, Orgeron will be fired 100%. True freshman always struggle in the sec. even Peyton Manning sucked as a freshman. Orgeron will not put his job in the hands of a true frosh with Brennan and Johnson on the roster.

yep, the Joe mobility earned Cregg a oline award Joe had some insane rushing numbers, not yardage wise but when Joe took off it was probably going to be for a first down. Myles doesn't bring that, Max does. Max isn't a Joe type rusher because he isn't big enough.

I think Max and Myles have the edge on what is needed to get better from now until next fall than TJ does.

Myles was around Joe for two years and saw that prep work, Max comes from a NFL family.

Nuss also has his dad for help

I agree.. but will he ever gain that? I feel like that confidence is a trait that’s very hard for someone to “gain”

You either have it or you don’t

the qb room can go down to 3. it would be nice if it stayed at 4. Hopefully TJ stays and develops, though im not sure he would see the field ever since Max, Nuss and Howard will be here eventually

Pulling for Myles to be QB1 because of his loyalty, but i want whoever earns and deserves it to be the starter. This is a good problem to have that we haven’t had in the past

He has a lot to improve on to beat Myles out.

Go watch his deep ball. It's not good. The 2nd deep ball to Kayshon was under thrown and too far outside. TD if he puts it in the right spot.

Max is good and we are looking great at QB for years now. But dont act like he is better than Myles at this point.

He also tends to sail the ball sometimes.

I’ve spoke to a guy whose worked privately with a lot the great LSU QBs privately over the years. He says he’d be surprised if Nuss wasn’t the starter next year.

I feel like we lose those last 2 games with Myles at QB. Stats ain’t everything. Max has the will to win. Myles is good but hasn’t showed that yet. But yes best QB need to be claimed starter.

Outside of a bunch of injuries, there is no way this happens.

It would actually be disastrous for QB depth and development, and on the field success.

Hester and Hannigriff must view Nuss as a game changer. If he competes right away would O still red shirt him?

With a new OC, all of the QB’s will have to learn a new terminology, that kinda equalizes things. If Ness is that good, going to be a battle Royal.

well he could play in four games and not red shirt.

So if it looks like we will have a sec winning team you can play him early or sporadically. If we fall short at bama and lose the west then you play him the rest of the way.

I don't really see the point in red shirting him if we expect him to be 3 and out anyways.

So have we all just given up on TJ now? Based on wht people were saying before TJ got on campus. I’d say he’s made more improvement than anybody this year.

Btw the way did we all forget when it was a open competition for the job after Myles went down TJ won the start.
Im not sure who wins the job going into next season but I don’t think any of the guys showed anything to say they are clear cut going into next season
