The O/U is 9 when it should probably be 7.5 or 8. That's not "multiple games".

Looking at the receiver depth chart is eye popping and not in a good way

We wasted our WRs so much in past seasons that I think even a halfway creative offense will make just decent WRs seem like much bigger weapons (especially when you have to account for an RB like Guice too). I think Chark can be awesome in an offense that actually knows how to use him. The other WRs I don't know enough about.

LSU has lots of unproven potential on offense, but as of know, it is going into the season with more question marks than at any point in the recent past.

your memory is short. remember the year miles said the OL was the best he'd ever coached? I think that was '08 or '09. we couldn't convert a third and short on any team, much less our sec competition. we have had some pretty atrocious offenses since '07, including our great team of '11. it was the best defense/special teams I've ever seen in my life, anywhere. but the offense was mediocre.

I believe our offense this year will take a while to get going but will end up pretty good if Etling and Guice can remain healthy

Ok, I already knew you were dumb, but now you're just a complete fricking retard. The difference between 7.5 and 9 is absolutely fricking massive.

You seriously don't know jack shite.

ETA: just laughing more at how stupid you are. Seriously, mouth breathing mongloid stupid.

A team that will be favored in 10-11 games should not have a win total of 7.5. Additionally, a slight perceived public over valuing is not going to cause LV to set a line a whole game and a half differently. Like you have to be kidding right?

This, Canada in a scrimmage - attempting passes in situations where the defense sort of knows what's coming their way, seeing if they could stop it.

Reminds me of this, Les Miles in a game - Miles attempting to run in situations where the defense sort of knows what's coming their way, seeing if they could stop it.

This, opens up so many questions about Canada's motives and his style of building confidence in players and in certain passing plays, he's scouting the offense in scrimmages pushing them hard to see who he can trust to make the play when the defense knows what you're about to do.

You could say, Canada's choosing to really test LSU's weakest link on offense, maybe that was Miles's problem in scrimmages, Harris looked really good in scrimmages, because Miles chose to never really test him in a scrimmage. I like the change!

The games with BYU and Miss St. are critical in my opinion, LSU needs to get on track offensively early, these two games are no gimmes, but if LSU can get going and stay healthy, they'll be ready when the real meat of their order arrives.

Sea change from Ground Les to Air Canada. Going to take time for this all to gel.

Idk if most know that we were literally seconds away from beating Wisconsin, Auburn and Florida. Then we took the mighty Alabama to the 4th quarter tied. Yeah we are doomed. My god some people are blind here really.

Yeah when I see the talking heads on Finebaum predicting doom and gloom for LSU, I wonder what in hell were they watching last year. Without a few mistakes by players lack of execution we could/should have won all those games.
Aranda with a second season to implement his defence and Canada's ability to take advantage of the talent, there no reason that we shouldn't be in the chase with Alabama.
In regards to the WRs, who has been coaching those guys for the last ten years.
I fully expect Sullivan to make a big difference in their performance. Those guys may be talented no names now but I expect most will know them come December.

You are taking this awfully hard

Which games LSU is favored in, and what Vegas' win total o/u is based at least in part on public perception

Public perception is to overvalue LSU

idgaf what number they set where in order to entice the average joes out there to bet. I can look at our roster and our head coach and realize we have more question marks this year than in recent memory. Maybe all those question marks come up roses and we have a great year. I hope that's the case. But I've watched enough LSU and enough football to know that more likely than not we're looking at an 8-4 or 9-3 type season, and if it's going to turn it's more likely to come in below that than it is above.

You and others on here are in denial.

So I assume you have LSU going somewhere in the range of 3-9? 4-8 if they are lucky?. It sounds like they are really going to suck balls this year.

Are you ****ing retarded? We have as much talent on this team, either experienced or not, as any in the last 5 years. Just speaking of individual talent specifically and this is a ****ing idiotic statement. No I don't like to use the F word but you almost made me!

Just quickly looking at your post history you recently responded in a different thread:

Yeah, no they aren't....

Yet here you are now propping up spreads and o/u win totals as evidence of what kind of year LSU is going to have

I know the passing game is a concern. That's why they hired a new passing game coordinator as a consultant recently, who has a reputation for being one of the best former wide receiver's coaches in the NFL when he was still coaching.

So while our passing game isn't up to par yet, I'm hoping that it will progressively get better as the season progresses, as we have some very athletic receivers. We just have to train them to run routes more accurately and get them to become more consistent in catching the ball. Hopefully, some of this stuff they are implementing will rub off on Mickey Joseph and make him a better wide receiver's coach.
