I have always liked this guy. Sucks that the Cam stuff on NSD has ruined his reputation with a lot of people.

I agree 100%. He goofed big time with the Cam stuff on NSD, especially a couple months removed from the Miles firing fiasco. He should have said absolutely nothing about Cam. He's still here.

Still, I don't see where he has pointed a finger. I've read what he's had to say and I haven't got the impression at all that he's blaming the taxpayers/public for this.

If you listen to the whole rant it went from King to being about the whole legislature and governor.
King may not have pointed a finger but the talking down by the govt has the tone of its all yall fault because you don't want more taxes when they should be looking within for the bs the waste money on

The govna wants more tax revenue straight up. Cutting is not part of thoughts that travel through his mind. To this day I can't believe he was elected.

They've had their budgets cut nearly every year since he's been here. He's been raising fees and cutting costs since that's all he can do.
The law school's merger into the main campus is one example of attempts to save money.

F. King Alexander cannot hold the legislature at gun point and force them to support a higher education institution that has already been substantially harmed by repeated, irresponsible budget cuts. All he can do is tell people the truth about what the worst case scenario that he has been told to develop a plan for would entail.
Hanny *usually* knows his stuff when it comes to football and baseball, but anyone that is more pissed off at the suggestion that budget cuts might affect football than the fact that budget cuts have and will seriously damage the ability of the states only public R1 institution has their priorities way out of line.
I have to say, when Jindal brought in F. King, I just assumed he was gonna be another stooge hired to do Jindals bidding. But in the end, he actually seemed to be more effective at standing up to Jindal than either Martin or Lombardi were. I don't have any complaints so far.

So go ahead and move to one of the four states that pay less in taxes than we do. Mississippi is the closest, but Wyoming is the only one that's arguably a better place to live.

Before you hated F. King for being "in bed" with JBE, you hated him for how "he" handled the Miles situation (which was caused by Hanagriff/Rabalais in the first place). And before you hated F. King for the Miles situation, you hated him because he was no Mark Emmert. And before that you hated him because he was hand picked by Jindal.
Basically, you guys just love to hate and damn are y'all wrong about almost everything.

Truth. Too bad the legislature won't give him the power to close LSUA, S, or E. I'd rather see these shutdown as opposed to Pennington or the Ag Center.
