This dates me and that's ok. But in 1978 Kim Mulkey and her Hammond High girls basketball team came to my HS alma mater and La, high school sports mecca, Lutcher High School, to compete in our annual basketball tournament.

The cute little pig-tailed floor general dominated the tournament as her team won the championship in dominant fashion. As she directed her team, scoring at will and dishing dimes that caused gasps in the packed gym, my heart fluttered as I imagined what our kids would one day look like.

Well 45 years later, watching my little floor general directing our Lady Tigers, I found myself with a deja vu of emotions as my heart fluttered with affectionate memories.

Then suddenly my wife announces to our friends watching in our living room, "Hey y'all, 'TigerProphet' had a "MAD CRUSH" on Kim Mulkey back in the day!"

As our guests chuckled, I sheepishly smiled while knowing inside, the crush lives on.

Geaux Kim.
Forever LSU.

It is. But through counseling and a lot of support from family and friends, I'm doing pretty good.

I have great grandkids and enjoy listening to old rap music and some of Boosie songs like “Set it off”. Does that mean I need to stop? People like me try to use all sorts of terms on here to try to communicate as best I can with the larger demographic that frequents this site. Is that wrong?

You weren’t the only one. Kim was a hottie in high school and at La Tech. She was in the news a lot with her championships.

Kim Mulkey oozes confidence and that’s very attractive.

I applaud you for being vulnerable with the board. I’m also glad that your therapy has been helpful. It can often take years to get over such intense feelings as what you describe. You’re very brave for letting us, the TD community, walk with you in your journey.

Side note, here's a vid from Flaujae's Instagram of the team jammin' to Set it Off after the Virginia Tech win:

It's not too late bro. Good chance you could still bang her. Won't know unless you try.

I don’t have Instagram but will try to get it or get someone to play it for me. My grandson and I listened to that song before every game during the 2019 football season! That was our jam to get fired up!
Thanks for sharing.

Since she has it as public you may not need Instagram to view it. It's infectious as frick. Id never even heard of Boosie before I saw that video lol
