Auburn coach Gus Malzahn: Daytime kickoff may be an advantage vs. LSU

"It may be a little bit of an advantage to play in the day. They've kind of had our number up until last year. We won (last year); that may give us a little momentum, a little confidence. Tough place to play but we are looking forward to it."

LSU has won six of the last eight meetings, but crumbled at Auburn last year, 41-7, in quarterback Brandon Harris' first career start

I always like the revenge factor in SEC play. Plus LSU is at home and pretty salty on paper.

With all the hearty laughs from fans regarding Steele's 70 point fiasco against WVU, Chavis should send Malzahn a hallmark card or 400k for not hanging 100 on us last season.

Gus definitely let his foot off the gas last season. Hopefully Les has the opportunity to return the favor this year.

It was 17-0 before I could make my first drink. I think Malzahn is slightly overrated, but I'll always respect him now for showing class in that game last season.

I don't, he worked a miracle in 2013. Just seeing how much better that team got week to week that season was fun to follow as a fan of the game.

I think he's the best game day coach in the SEC.

We'll just agree to disagree

Chizik and Trooper always brought in top classes. It's not like he walked into a dumpster fire. auburn just needed more structure and discipline at the top, and he certainly brings that.

Then you factor in how first year coaches always get their teams to play out their arse. see hugh in 2012 and Johny J winning 19 games with a weak roster.

Finally, let's not ignore the legendary string of luck that team had.

Again I think he's a very good coach, just slightly overrated

I'm sure he also appreciated the way Miles ended the game in '13. It's a welcome change from the Tubberville years.

He's a good coach and not a big shite talker/dirty recruiter like we've seen in the past (other sec teams/coaches).

Yeah we really have owned them until last year but that game was brutal. I questioned if we even were going to make a bowl game after that.

I've like that guy for a long time, and that kinda sucks. Auburn having a non douchey coach just isn't normal,
as their history of having absolute tools walking the sidelines speaks for itself.

It's just as hot in Alabama. Mid to upper 90's with 90% humidity. That's equal for both teams.
