I understand the desire to knock this dude and yeah, he's been a flake.

But let's not act like he wouldn't have been VERY welcome here the last two seasons

Sounds like a talent evaluation problem to me. Fans still whining about losing a recruit that would have been a mistake if he had signed?
Was he in the same signing class as Dak?

The argument does make sense because he's seeing the entire game at a different speed.
Against Ohio State(national champs) and Miami in 2014, his stats were

21/32 352yds 4 tds and 0 int against Ohio State

31/57 355yds 3 tds and 3 ints against Miami.

It looks like he can handle the speed of the game....

I agree his raw numbers would not be as high here because our system basically neuters passing numbers, but for us to scoff and act happy he didnt come here seems childish

Just because he had that kind of success at Cincy, doesn't mean he would have had it here...

He made a wise decision to go elsewhere. The way QB's have been developed here the last few years, he would have been in a bad predicament had he signed with LSU. Hopefully the addition of Craig will pay dividends going forward here. We shall see.

I think that, given the circumstances of both of his transfers from LSU and Notre Damne, combined with the fact that a senior QB coming off of two impressive years as a starter is getting benched, there's enough red flags to safely argue that we probably are better off without him.

The main focus of people's anger toward him is not only that he flipped when and how he did, but that he cost LSU a much needed o-lineman who was also going to be an early enrollee along with Kiel and a few others. Schools are only allowed a few of those and Kiel was going to put them over the limit. Les asked o-lineman from Florida if he wouldnt mind coming in the summer rather than the spring to help make room for Kiel. The kid got pissed and flipped to Auburn, which would have been fine bcause we badly needed a QB at the time. Then Kiel punks out, and we end up with neither of them.

Because this is the Rant - Go to some non-anonymous site if you want reasonable comments and opinions.

Jesus changes water into wine....

The civilized world: "Wow, what a beautiful miracle"

The Rant: "Why did he make it wine, beer is better than wine, what is wrong with him? "

look, Kiel is a very good QB and I would've loved for him to have stayed here and seen what he could do. Anybody who can't admit that is just fooling themselves.

The real problem our fans have is the way Kiel left. Supposed to show up Monday morning - didn't. Left us high and dry.

That's the issue that we all have trouble getting over.

Did anyone ever find out what the issue was that kept him from traveling to the Hawaii Bowl last year?

We signed that big,fat QB (Leggett?) from Oxfart, MS. If he made the grade he could have been an OL convert.
