His arrogance is cool when he pitches well but hated when he pitches poorly

Tonight was all about getting young pitchers experience according to many on here. Maybe this will be a good experience for him!

I don’t get the pitch selection! WTF!!!!!!

Who is calling a gut fastball on 0-2 after batter looks silly on curves. Is it the pitching coach?

He needs more than one pitch. BP needs a ton of work. A timely hit would be nice as well.

I’d like to know what the pitch call was. It sure seems like our pitch calls on 1-2 and 0-2 are poor, or the execution is poor. We put way too many meat balls over the plate when ahead.

We avoided smith tonight. It was just closer than most thought. We gave our aces left. It's gonna take some luck, but jj was playing for two wins. Not three.

Guidry doesn’t impress me. I made a post late last year wondering just why Guidry was effective because it didn’t make sense.


He’s a one trick pony with the slider. Which is a plus pitch but he has a low velo fastball that he struggles to locate as his only other pitch.

None of his stuff exactly screams “top bullpen arm”. I love his attitude/mentality but the film is out on him.

When he struggles with the breaking ball he needs to be pulled b/c that fastball is below average when they know it is coming.
