Smartest move imo. Not saying that any of our backs including Guice are as good as Fournette...because they're not. I just really enjoyed seeing multiple backs being played agaisnt Mizzou. Felt like it created a lot of second guessing for the defense.

Plus, I want Fournette 100% when we play Ole Miss and so forth...

Good. We'll be fine, even though UF has an excellent defense. Like you said we need Fournette 100% to break the hearts of the Rebs and co.

I know this is now the narrative, but shite we only have him until the end of the year. I get him not playing if he is injured. Whats the point of "saving" him if he is healed? He made it through two other seasons just fine.

I am glad about this.

Guice/Williams/Brossette are sufficient.

We need Fournette healthy for the stretch run. I know he wants to play, but get those ankles fully healed.

Then, make a big run the second half of the year.

It sucks for LF7 to be injured but, he is going to tear it up when he gets back to 100%. He'll be a rich man next year.

With Florida's defensive line banged up like it is, I wouldn't be surprised if Guice puts up 3 more TD's against them.

Just because Guice is starting doesn't mean Fournette isn't. Perhaps we could use Fournette as an option and run both backs in the same play, handing it to one and using the other as a decoy--or using either as checkdowns.

I want a package with Donte Jackson, Guice, and Fournette on the field at the same time.

You don't heal a high ankle sprain in a couple weeks

If we sit Fournette until Ole Miss, we're talking about 4 weeks of rest time for that ankle. It might not get him to 100%, but I'm sure it can offer sufficient healing time to get him in playing condition for the final stretch. If you can manage sitting him and winning the Ole Miss game, you're looking at 6 weeks rest for Bama.

Yep. He needs to sit till he's 100% healed and pain-free.

I appreciate him giving his all the first four games, but it was obvious he wasn't 100%.

If he doesn't let it heal, there's a good chance surgery may be in his future, a la Skyler Green in 2004.

He's obv. not right. I'd rather him rest and get healthy and be the beast we know and love for the home stretch of his LSU career as opposed to watching this watered down 80% version.
