said he thought LSU would have a coming-out against auburn. defense getting better, offense starting to roll. felt that after this game we would be sneaking back into the conversation.

I kind of have that feeling myself. still trying to take it one game at a time.

But our defense is starting to have fun - the kind of fun of being on a really good unit, of trusting your teammates and having a lot of guys making plays.

on offense, if we don't stop what we're doing, we're going to get better and better.

Looks like GMac actually watched the Moo State game and didn't just read the box score.

And I'm a lot more confident in the ability to call plays and game plan

This is what all the negative nacys on this board call sunshine pumping.

Yes, LSU has struggled to score points, but the offensive production is trending up. I'd like to see the Tigers put everything together this weekend.

It's just so refreshing to see someone under center that looks to be in complete control on the field and we aren't snapping the ball at the last possible second. He may not win a Heisman but DE got us playing more like I expected we would coming into the season.

I've actually been impressed with what that Gump has said about us thus far.

He hit the nail on the head after the Wisonsin game criticizing Miles QB development and Jr high scheme after claiming all offseason it would be different.

He seems to be really in touch with what is going on at LSU.

Mississippi State lost to South Alabama. We'll talk after this week.

I hope he's right. We typically don't pay well at Jordan Hare but I really do like what I have been seeing.

There are other big games in the SEC too.

Georgia @ Ole Miss
Arkansas @ A&M
Florida @ Tennessee

We will definitely have a better feel about where we stack up after this weekend. It's make or break. I hope Les is up to the challenge.

Does anyone hate the DE abbreviation as much as I do. Its despicable and takes me minutes for my brain to comprehend we aren't talking about a defensive end.

But last week it was "JSU is FCS, let's see what they do against State." Are the goal posts just going to be moved each week?]

and USL beat USA. So what?

FTR, state was up 20-7 before folding. And, I'm fairly certain that Rummel kid for state is going to continue to contribute to their scheme.

Guess we're still waiting to make a determination on Bama this year then.

You're insinuating that SC and OM were not quality teams? Certainly stronger what we faced, no?
